Tanaka San VoiSona Talk Originals

Tanaka San (田中傘 | たなかさん) is a Japanese Talk Voice developed by Techno-Speech, Inc. and was released for VoiSona Talk in September 2023.[1]

Her voice provider has not been revealed.

Concept

Tanaka San is an ever-smiling public relations (PR) representative working for a speech synthesis software company. At work, she exemplifies a serious and sensible member of society.

She enjoys collecting rain umbrellas and parasols, and even handcrafting them. She reportedly has a variety of umbrellas, including those for walking outside, admiration, and even for battle. Her grip on an umbrella handle is demonically strong. She was born in Nagoya, Japan and her favorite foods include Hitsumabushi (ひつまぶし) and Ogura toast.[2]

Marketing

While her name at the time was unrevealed, Tanaka San was introduced as the mascot character of Techno-Speech, Inc. on July 20, 2020, initially debuting as a simple bust. Her debut design, which was also illustrated by cherico, was used for promotional work for Techno-Speech, Inc. such as the profile picture for the official Twitter account and an official Techno-Speech branded clear file that was handed out during official events.[3][4][5]

Tanaka San received an alternate design illustration (advertised as a "plain clothes" version) as well as additional reference images and image materials for use in creations featuring Tanaka San.[6][7] These could be downloaded from the official VoiSona Talk website.[8][9]
