Kanato Mell

Kanato Mell (奏兎める, かなとめる) is a Japanese Song Voice developed by candy cream algorithm, Inc. in collaboration with the music producer Mell.P, based on the Virtual YouTuber of the same name and released for CeVIO AI in April 2023.^[2]

Her voice was provided by the virtual YouTuber kanato mell, whom she shares her name and appearance with.^[1]

Concept

Kanato Mell is described to be a lonely person who was born on April 20, and lived as a rabbit for 10 years before being reincarnated. Her favorite foods include strawberry shortcake and frosted cookies.^[3]

Etymology

Kanato Mell's name has also been officially rendered as "kanato mell" and "KANATO MELL" respectively.^[4] The former "kanato mell" being prominently associated with her Virtual YouTuber counterpart of which she shares her name with. Her first name, Mell, is also shared with that of her official producer, Mell.P.

Mell's nicknames include Mell (める), Usamell (うさめる), and Mellrun (めるるん).

Appearance

Kanato Mell's appearance is largely based on her Virtual Youtuber counterpart's attire, sharing many of the same features.

Mell has long, curled, cotton candy pink hair that she wears down, with two small pigtails on either side of her head. Atop her head are large, fluffy white and pink bunny ears. She has large, shiny, hot pink eyes. Her outfit consists of a white, ruffly boatneck top with puff-sleeves, and a light pink, multi-tiered, corset-like skirt tied around her waist. Her skirt's first layer is light pink with two white ruffles down the center, over a darker pink layer bearing a gold pattern on the hem. This layer dips in the back like a train. The interior has a white frilly fabric stitched inside, cut a few inches above the hem, leaving a thick pink edge. It is a pancake-style skirt, meaning it billows straight out at the hips. Peeking out from underneath all of this is a pair of frilly white bloomers. Her boots are white knee-high lace-ups. They have cotton candy pink ribbons, and stitching on the toes that resembles a rabbit's cottontail. Her accessories consist of a pair of white gloves with pink bows, a pink heart necklace, and a gold chain necklace with a large pink bow charm.
