Status

On June 20, 2023, U-Stella Inc. announced a new crowdfunding campaign with the goal of developing a CeVIO AI Talk Voice for UNI, also known as UNI-chan (ユニちゃん). Her voice was announced to be provided by the Japanese voice actress and singer Riko Kohara (小原莉子). Crowdfunding was set to begin on June 26, 2023. A stretch goal for the development of a Song Voice for UNI was also announced.^[23] By June 30, UNI's crowdfund was successfully funded, exceeding 100% of the initial goal. UNI's potential Song Voice was announced to be funded if the crowdfund could reach 300% of the initial goal.^[24] The second stretch goal for the production of UNI's CeVIO AI Song Voice was achieved on July 23.^[25][26] The crowdfund concluded on July 24, reaching 405% of the initial goal, with a total of ¥18,255,500 yen raised by 947 supporters.^[27][28]

UNI-chan Talk Voice was released on April 26, 2024; production of her Song Voice, albeit funded, has not yet been started.

On March 20, 2021, HirotoP confirmed that ROSA, CUL's younger sister, was in production for Synthesizer V and CeVIO AI in Japanese and English.^[29] According to the project timeline, they were releasing ROSA's voice databases in this order: Japanese CeVIO AI Talk, Japanese Synthesizer V AI, English CeVIO AI Talk, and English Synthesizer V AI.^[30] ROSA's Japanese CeVIO AI talk voicebank was released on December 17, and her Synthesizer V AI voice database, which in addition to Japanese would be also capable of singing in English (as well as other supported languages) through Synthesizer V Studio's Cross-lingual Singing Synthesis feature, was released on June 3, 2024.

Production of her CeVIO AI English voice has not yet been funded nor started.

On October 3, 2024, Shigure Ui, a Japanese Virtual YouTuber, announced the development of a Song Voice library to be developed for VoiSona, created based upon her own voice and design.^[31] A short teaser video was uploaded, announcing her release date scheduled to be released in 2025.^[32] She will release on May 30, 2025.

On January 29, 2025, in celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year, Chorical LLC published a teaser video of a new Mandarin Chinese feminine vocalist covering "Jasmine" (茉莉花, Mòlìhuā), a traditional folk song covered in the past by several Mandarin vocals on different vocal-synthesizer engines (such as VOCALOID3 YANHE).^[33][34]

On March 30, a teaser pink silhouette of the still-unnamed Mandarin vocal, surrounded by bubbles, was published by Chorical on Twitter with the caption "She's getting herself ready~".^[35]

On April 3, Chorical revealed the full illustration of the silhouette, formally introducing Ying Can, the company's newest voice library in production.^[36] Ying Can was announced be illustrated by VOFAN, a Taiwanese illustrator known for providing the Taiwanese illustration for the VOCALOID2 voicebank Sweet ANN, as well as providing official illustrations for the Taiwanese VOCALOID3 and VOCALOID4 (Japanese-only) illustrations for Xin Hua. She was designed by Chorical LLC CEO Infoholic, VOFAN and toeknee. ^[37] Ying Can was announced to be the first commercially available Mandarin Chinese Song Voice to be available for VoiSona, and would be available digitally in both subscription and one-time-purchase formats. While not directly related to Ying Can, in 2018, Techno-Speech, Inc. had previously developed an experimental Mandarin Chinese Song Voice, prior to the release of VoiSona, in collaboration with the Nagoya Institute of Technology Speech and Language Processing Laboratory, and showcased various samples incorporating the use of AI deep learning technology.^[38] This prototype voice library however was not released to the public. Ying Can is expected to be released later in the month of April 2025.^[39] Her official biography and website were announced to be revealed on Monday, April 7, with further information announced to be released throughout the month.^[40]

On February 16, a black silhouette featuring a new illustration for Chis-A was released on the official Chis-A Twitter account, following an announcement that a new commemorative illustration would be released for her 3rd anniversary.^[41][42] The new illustration, which would later serve as the illustration for her upcoming VoiSona Talk voice library, was released the following day, announced to be illustrated by Cherico.^[43] A selection of merchandise featuring the new design was announced to be released on the official Techno-Speech, Inc. booth account.^[44] Concept illustrations were also released.^[45] A live 3D DJ event titled "Chis-A's Learning Center" (知声の学び舎) was simultaneously announced and would be held on February 24, 2025 featuring a brand new 3D model of her third a anniversary illustration.^[46][47][48] Chis-A would officially celebrate her third anniversary on February 24, 2025, receiving a new animated music video produced by isonosuke.^[49] On February 25, following the celebration, Chis-A was announced to be receiving a Talk Voice library, announced to be in development for VoiSona Talk, and was expected to be released in the fall of 2025.^[50][51]

On March 14, 2025, the profile of a new Japanese singer got revealed on the VoiSona website,. This voice is based on rurudo's concept, voice and design. She was stated to be released on June 6, 2025, 2 months and 2 days after her song voicebank.^[52]

On June 20, 2023, U-Stella Inc. announced a crowdfunding campaign with the goal of developing a CeVIO AI Talk Voice for FEE's older sister and fellow "Caricature" (カリカチュア) android UNI, also known as'"UNI-chan" (ユニちゃん). The official FEE-chan Twitter account quote retweeted the announcement seeming to imply that UNI's Song Voice was being developed in lieu of her own Song Voice.^[57]
