SELENA is an English Song Voice developed and distributed by Chorical LLC in collaboration with Techno-Speech, Inc.. She was released for VoiSona in November 2024.
Her voice provider was announced to be Oktavia, a YouTube singer, known as a Youtaite, who is best known for her VOCALOID song covers.
Concept
SELENA was introduced in 2015 as a "digital diva from another planet" with the ability to shapeshift and sing beautiful music. She was noted to be able to "talk and sing for you." At the time, she was given a short profile setting with an age of 18 trillion years old, her height listed as 5'6", and her weight listed as 150 lbs.; she was stated to come from the fictional planet Malaklu. She was originally illustrated by melobuniiP and was formerly announced to be in development as an English vocal for the text-to-speech synthesizer Festival, developed by the University of Edinburgh.[1][2]
Prior to her VoiSona debut, SELENA was described to be a bold, mature, powerful, and expressive vocalist, presumed to be coming from interstellar origins,[3] who longs to sing for "you".[4]
Upon the launch of her official VoiSona product, SELENA was given a new profile describing her as an alien princess from the cosmos who landed on Earth to share her songs with humankind. Fascinated by human music, she's always using her extraordinary voice to give life to songs as stars give light to the dark. Mature and regal in both her appearance and cadence, her curiosity and warmth are very alluring to all who meet her. Her representative color is blue and her element is listed as Space. Her favorite instrument is the piano and her favorite animal is a cow. Her Zodiac is listed as a Scorpio and she has an A+ blood type.[5][6]
