The Aqueduct is a location that appears in Breath of Fire IV. It supplies water to Astana to help cool the Carronade.
After arriving in Astana, the party learns about the aqueduct and determine to visit it in an attempt to find the location where Elina was being held -- the very same location that the party had all dreamed about previously at the Crash Site. First, the party makes their way around the external structure of the Aqueduct until they find a worker who lowers a gondola for them. They subsequently travel through the Aqueduct's interior to reach a hidden room within Astana's military base.

After riding the gondola, cross wooden planks and slash the rope with Ryu's field ability. After proceeding across the newly created bridge and up a ladder head east to find this chest.
