Yew (XC3)

Yew is a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. He was a member of the Lost Numbers under Guernica Vandham's squad alongside Zuo and Heewa. His sister is Mei.

Story

Yew was stationed to the City convoy carrying the Ouroboros Stone alongside Zuo, Heewa, and Guernica. However, they came under attack by both Colony 9 and Colony Gamma. While making a stand at Gura Flava Lowlands against the hostile forces, Yew notes that the last of the Automatons were destroyed, with Zuo commenting that Guernica should at least make retreat himself. As Zuo suggested that, he was killed by artillery fire, with Yew being struck as well moments later. As he lays dying, he apologizes to Guernica, wishing he was more perceptive before ultimately passing.

In the quest Vandham's Heir, Yew is seen off at the City's Remembrance Stones by Noah and Mio, although only his eyepatch remained to be present for the off-seeing. His sister Mei was present for the ceremony.

Trivia

• Yew's name and role as a sidekick of Vandham are a reference to Yew from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
