Ashera

Ashera (Japanese: アシェラ ) is a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Overview

She is the commander of the Keves Colony 11, and is very strong and sturdy on the battlefield.^[1] According to Lanz, she is one of the most famous Defenders in Keves. She is known as Undying Blade Ashera (Japanese: 凌剣のアシェラ, Ryōken no Ashera), as well as "That Suicidal Maniac".

For unknown reasons, she can remember the circumstances of her first Homecoming, which in the distant past was an execution performed by Consul V. Regardless of how many times she is reborn, as she grows older a scar from where her head was cut off begins to form and her memories of that day return, along with the pain of the execution. This pain inevitably grows worse as she approaches her Homecoming until she kills herself to make it stop, which has left her with the desire to die a glorious death on her own terms. It is implied that she has fought against Teach before, when he was known as All Slayer Oleg.

She can be recruited as a Hero by completing the Hero Quest The Wrath of Ashera. Her Class Rank is increased to 20 after completing the Ascension Quest A Deep-Seated Scar.

Gameplay

Her class is Lone Exile, a Defender Class. She is an aggressive defender who fights with a double-edged sword that deal massive damage. She attacks enemies with a swift and powerful slash, gaining Aggro and allowing her allies to counterattack.

In a Chain Attack, Ashera starts with 15 TP by default. Ashera's Chain Art is Saber Siege, and her Heroic Chain bonus guarantees an Amazing! (200% TP) when she completes a Chain Order, but at the cost of being unable to be reactivated for the rest of the Chain Attack, not even for an Ouroboros Order.

These are Ashera's raw stats prior to modifications by class. They serve as a baseline for calculating her stats in the Lone Exile class (see its page for the corresponding multipliers which adjust these stats). Intermediate values are linearly interpolated between these base stats.

Battle

Undying Blade Ashera (Japanese: 凌剣のアシェラ, Ryōken no Ashera) is a Quest Exclusive Boss who is a Keves Soldier fought at level 64 on Hovering Reef 0 in Syra Hovering Reefs during A Deep-Seated Scar, and at level 67 at the Colony 11, Training Pit during Festival of War. The first battle ends after Ashera reaches 50% health.

Ashera's name may be derived from the ancient West Semitic goddess Asherah (Hebrew: אֲשֵׁרָה), the consort of El.
