F

F (Japanese: エフ, Efu) is a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Overview

F is the Consul of Colony 0, a colony that, despite having visibly Kevesi technology, doesn't fight for either Keves nor Agnus, but for Moebius itself, hoping to prolong the war and keep the world in the endless now.

He commands his colony, ordering their Ferron Unit squad to destroy ancient relics and attack a number of characters that F deemed would threaten the endless now, as well as Ouroboros at several points in the game. After one of these confrontations, one of the Ferrons is defeated and reveals Segiri. When Segiri is tended to in the City, he requests an audience with Ouroboros, requesting the safe return of Segiri in exchange for him rescinding the elimination order against Ouroboros.

Upon meeting Ouroboros, this Consul is much more cordial than the rest of his ilk, seemingly being intent on holding up his end of the deal in rescinding the elimination order, and wanting to become acquainted with the Ouroboros and show them around the colony and genuinely wanting to avoid conflict. However, his nefarious tactics in using his troops' own life force to strengthen their mechs and forcing them to act against their will, while claiming he values them yet essentially treating them like chess pieces and not granting them free will, causes the party to proceed to fight him despite the Consul's pleas against a conflict. Even then, the Consul tries to deescalate the situation, although his actions were in vain.

When he realizes that a fight is inevitable, he drops his cordial façade and commands every single Ferron unit to attack the party with their limiters off, knowing this would eat away at their life energy. When all the units are incapacitated except for Segiri, Sena - in her Ouroboros form - attempts to reach out to Segiri to get her to stop the attack, which the Consul tries to override by stooping lower than ever and ordering Segiri to specifically attack her friend Sena. Segiri, faced with conflicting orders, becomes anguished and disobeys her program by throwing an axe at the Consul; with Sena then finishing him off thereafter.

Trivia

• F is the only Consul who is never directly fought by the party, as he has Colony 0's Ferron Units fight the party in his place.
