The recce is a new Canadian recon infantry unit that appeared in Wargame: Red Dragon.
History
Overview
The Canadian Recce unit is a unique addition to the Canadian arsenal. Perhaps one of the only units of its kind, its ranged is unmatched by any other infantry unit in the game. Its anti-material rifle allows it to punch through the armor of units such as the BMP-2 and its unparalleled stealth allows it to hide out in the plains (as long as it does not run into another unit)
This unit is ideally placed on top of mountains or hills to provide excellent line of sight. More daring players can attempt to use its powerful, anti-material rifle to snipe enemy CV units or even light armoured vehicles. If placed on top of mountains it can snipe unwary helicopters whom wander too close, with nary a bullet-trail.
This unit's main weakness is its small size, which renders it vulnerable to infantry bum-rushes. Ideally it can be used to provide line of sight for artillery and tank units, whilst sniping ATGM infantry or vehicles.
