Cougar Recon is a Canadian Armored Recon car that appears in Wargame: AirLand Battle.
History
Canadian AVGP (Armored Vehicle General Purpose) program created Grizzly, Cougar and Husky from Swiss MOWAG Piranha I. Cougar was a Piranha I mounting a turret from British Scorpion light tank entering Canadian service in late 1970s. These were intended to provide the reserve Cavalry Regiments tank trainers without using Leopard C1.
These were used in other three armored regiments which were not equipped with Leopard. 1st Canadian Brigade Group, 5e Groupe-Brigade du Canada and the Canadian Special Service Force had their armored regiments equipped with Cougar.
