York, also known as Punk-06, is a major antagonist in the Final Saga of the One Piece franchise. She is one of the Satellites of Dr. Vegapunk, embodying the aspect of "greed". She is then revealed to be a traitor who aspires to become the only Vegapunk as well as a Celestial Dragon by killing the real Vegapunk and the other Satellites, having held CP5, CP7 and CP8 agents as hostages.

However, her plans backfired when she was defeated and detained by the Straw Hats and CP0 alliance, in order to prevent her from using the Seraphims to do her dirty work, thus ending her weakly schemes. She is a coward to the core, shamelessly begging the World Government for rescue when her capture was imminent. She tried to help the Five Elders to stop Vegapunk's message broadcast about the World Government's true nature, but they're too late even when they already destroyed the transmitting Den Den Mushi. She was about to give away Punk Records to the World Government, which would give them full access to the "Mother Flame". However, Edison (the thinking Vegapunk) has stolen the Punk Record and sending it flying to the sky, which completely ruined York's plans and left the World Government unable to gain access to the "Mother Flame".

She is voiced by Mutsumi Tamura (who also voiced Epimenides in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Fenrir as a child and Daruizen in Healin' Good♥Pretty Cure) in Japanese and Robin Clayton (who also voiced Ophelia Salvadori in Reign of the Seven Spellblades) in English.

Appearance

York is a young-looking woman of incredible size, standing twice the height of Brook. She has long and wavy light hair and patches of freckles under her eyes. She wears a dark top cut off just below her breasts with her designation Punk-06 written on the front. She also wears a light-colored jacket over her top, a pair of bikini bottoms, dark gloves, large dark boots that go up past her knees, and a pair of goggles on her forehead.

Personality

Being designated the “greed” satellite of Vegapunk, York is a very gluttonous and lazy individual. Her primary task seems to be to eat, sleep, and relieve herself for the other satellites so they can perform their own duties unimpeded. Perhaps because compassion constitutes "effort," she is devoid of empathy. She seems to have a vapid personality, rarely speaking except to yawn or remark about sleeping or eating, but wantonly approached a dangerous Seraphim because she found it cute.

For this very reason however, York is a highly selfish and arrogant individual who possesses lofty ambitions, willing to betray her fellow satellites, solely for the chance to become a Celestial Dragon. She also believes that only one Vegapunk is necessary in the world and is not against eliminating her peers if needed. Her efforts would be ruined, however, as a result of her overconfidence and underestimation of the Straw Hat Pirates and CPO. She is very clueless when she doesn't know where is the real Den Den Mushi (although she and the Five Elders were too late). Her greed continue to make a fool of herself as shown she was tricked by Edison when he faked his death and stole the Punk Records and sending it flying to the sky, so that it will never fall into the hands of the World Government, therefore ruining York's attempt to become a Celestial Dragon and leaving her and the Government unable to gain access to the "Mother Flame" despite she can still gain access to Punk Records.

Abilities

As her original purpose was to eat and sleep so the other Satellites could function without doing so, York can consume far more food than even someone of her size should be able to, and metabolize it far faster than is possible for most. As such, she attains a BMI of 600 (20 times the amount considered obese) multiple times every day by eating, but loses it all quickly afterwards, the odd shifts in mass not seemingly affecting her negatively at all.

Like Vegapunk and the other Satellites, she can access the vast knowledge contained within his brain and has the same level of genius, though while capable of clever planning and strategy, most of the time she is too lazy to make as much use of it than the others. Despite Edison having stolen the Punk Records and ruining York's plans to ensure the Records won't fall into the hands of the World Government, York can still access it.

Trivia

Ironically, despite the fact that Lilith is the literal embodiment of Vegapunk's evil side, she has better morals than York does; she expressed disgust at the debauchery exhibited by the Celestial Dragons, a group York wishes to join. She sadly mourned the deaths of Pythagoras and Shaka, and seemed incredibly worried when Atlas and Edison were injured; York clearly could not care less about any of them. This action would comeback to bite her as Edison stole back the Punk Records and relocate it to Weatheria (the island that Nami practice her Clima-Tact) so that it wil never fall into the World Government's hands which ruined all of York's plans, all the deceased Satellites got revived by Edison by creating a new body with their spare parts and immediately despised her to the point of destroying all of her spare parts so if she gets killed, she cannot get revived. Without the Punk Records, York and the World Government won't gain access to the "Mother Flame" despite York still can access the Punk Records.
