Mitaka Hana

Mitaka Hana (三鷹 花みたか はな, Mitaka Hana; "Hana Mitaka") was introduced as a member of the Private funeral division. She, along with Manabe Takumi, join Kakerou after being defeated by Kiruma Tatsuki and Yakou Hikoichi. Mitaka is currently a referee in Kakerou. She was assigned #30 but earns #10 after defeating Bandai Kaoru.

Appearance

Mitaka is an older woman with light hair. She is frequently seen wearing a hat. She also has odd, fluffy eyebrows.

Personality

Mitaka looks down on men and likes to call them "Boys" and believes that she is stronger than any man in the world.

History

Mitaka was a Chinese assassin in her younger years who went by the name Yīng. She was one of the top two assassins in all of China, along with Bǎi Lóng. Mitaka got in a relationship with Bǎi Lóng at some point and she tried to get him to stop living an assassin lifestyle since she wanted to live a regular life. Around this time she helped raise Kyara and tried to get him out of living such a violent lifestyle.

Mitaka eventually tried to leave Bǎi Lóng while she is pregnant with his child. The child died one day after it was born and Mitaka made it her purpose in life to meet Bǎi Lóng again and tell him. She does meet Bǎi Lóng again in the Protoporos arc and kills him because she does not recognize him.

Mitaka is with Richard Arata. Mitaka learns from Arata that Vincent Lalo became the Kaiser. She laments that "Kyara died for nothing," only to be reminded by Arata that the rules state that the winner must be Kaiser by the end of the match and that the Re-allocation will happen before that.
Mitaka's gets shocked by her vest. She follows Arata to the cave where she discovers the stack of Huger banknotes.

Mitaka is decently strong since she is a Kakerou Referee and she was able to defeat Bandai Kaoru in a Ranking Battle.

Relationships

• Bǎi Lóng: Her husband, she and Lóng had a child together however, unbeknownst to him, it died shortly after it was born. Mitaka made it her purpose in life to meet Bǎi Lóng again and tell him though, when she does inadvertently meet Lóng again on Protoporos island, she kills him because she no longer recognizes him.

Notes & Trivia

• While an assassin in her younger days, she went by the name "Yīng" (鷹イン; "Eagle").
• The other members of the Private Funeral Division call her "Taka-san" (鷹さん).
  • This is probably in relation to Mitaka's real name, as "taka" is the Japanese pronunciation of "yīng."
