Perks has not been implemented in the actual game yet, though it may have been in testing places or even be present in-game, though completely unused or even unfinished.
Because of this, not all information on the item in question is known. Additionally, whenever it will be added in the future is not always clear.
Perk is a feature which allowed to apply enhancements to towers; these enhancements would boost the effectiveness of towers in various ways, such as increasing damage inflicted by towers or applying debuffs to them. Only a menu for them was implemented into the game in Hardcore Testing BETA, but it was later removed in the Solar Eclipse Update.
This feature has been confirmed to be scrapped[1] due to it creating balancing issues and it making support towers obsolete.
Obtainment Method
Perks would be mainly obtained from crates, however, it is not known how exactly the crates would be obtained. There were three crates that gave Perks, all of which tiered, starting from tier I up to tier III. As there are also three tiers of Perks, it is likely each tiered crate gave perks of equivalent tier. They would be opened similar to skincrates, where they would drop from the sky into the crate room and then be opened, showing the obtained Perk.

Usage
Perks could be applied to towers in a menu of the inventory. While this menu was added to the game in Hardcore Testing BETA, it did not function at all. As the Perks list towers next to their name, it is highly likely each Perk could only be applied to one tower at a time, which would be displayed on the Perk. The alternative is that each Perk obtained would be already tied to one of the towers, with the player only being able to pick which one they want to have applied.
Each Perk has a number next to its name, that being its tier. It is highly likely that each tier comes from the identically tiered perk crate, meaning that for example tier III perks come from the Tier III Perk Crate. It also suggests that each perk could have multiple tiers.
Available Perks

As the Perks menu was added to the game, it was possible to see some of the Perks which were planned, however, it was not possible to see their descriptions or how they work. The only exception is Molten Shot, which had its description listed and the developers have even posted footage of a similar Perk, which is likely an early version of Molten Shot.
These are all the Perks which could be seen in-game:

Trivia
- The style of the Perks was based on icons used for skills from Ashea: Reborn, an old Roblox game. One of the icons, that being Molten Shot, even reuses the icon for the Fireball skill from said game.
- The icons were made by Eris around 2015.
- This is not the first time they were actually used in Tower Defense Simulator, as the Medic's Cleansing ability actually uses the icon for the Heal spell from the same game.
- A few icons, which did not originate from that game, also exist, suggesting icons stylized based on Ashea: Reborn skills were made, either by Tower Defense Simulator developers or taken from some other game. As it is likely they may have been considered to be used at one point, all known icons will be listed below:
