Enghebatu (エンヘバト; Enhebato) is the Chiri Star in Genso Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century.
Profile
Background
A weaponsmith and also Peljid's younger brother. He was an expert at making weapons for the Scaled Horde and worked in Zephteros Fortress. After the war ended, he returned to his life as a normal weaponsmith right away. However, when his sister visited him, he immediately took the job on strengthening her spear without asking her anything.
Story
Game
After assisting Peljid with her rounds in the desert near Zephteros Fortress, the Hero spoke with her again. Speaking to herself, she commented that her spear had become quite damaged and she wondered if she should ask Enghebatu to forge it for her. However, she didn't know where he was at the moment. The Hero interrupted her and asked what was bothering her. She explained that the tip of the spear was getting dull and so she thought she should show it to her younger brother, who was a weaponsmith. She told the Hero that her brother was quite famous among the Scaled Horde. However, while he was a nice brother to her, he had a habit of aimlessly going from place to place. Hearing her story the Hero was shocked that Peljid was a female. She didn't fault him for it as it was also hard for the Scaled Horde to tell human males and females apart.
When he spoke to her again she still didn't know where he was and said she would have to put up with another armorer. The Hero offered to let one of the weapon smiths in his group take a look.
Noderi asked to take a look at the spear. He was surprised as he had never seen forging like it before. He said it would be impossible and he couldn't do it the same way. He did feel that he would love to know how it was done though. He asked to meet Peljid's brother. Peljid said that he couldn't because she didn't know where her brother was.
Cadmus spoke roughly to Peljid, and she got angry, asking who he was. He took the spear from her, surprising her. When he remarked that the tempering was unknown to him, Peljid asked if someone talking big and cocky like him didn't know. Cadmus said if he could meet her brother he would prostrate himself on the ground. Peljid told him she would like to tell him to do it, but she didn't know where her brother was.
Without being able to help, the Hero left and returned to the present time. There, he met a member of the Scaled Horde near the Tree of Ages. He gave you an old spear that his ancestors left with a piece of paper around it saying it was for his group. Even though the spear is around 200 years old, the Scaled Horde member is surprised since the group is a new thing.
Upon returning to the Lake Fortress, Noderi and Cadmus were able to learn the skill and confirm that this spear tip was indeed one forged by Enghebatu. The skill was passed to them as Enghebatu was also a star of destiny. Cadmus was happy to learn the skill, although he knew he wouldn't be able to thank Enghebatu for it.
