Juliana is the female player character of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Her male counterpart is Florian.
Appearance
Juliana is a young girl with brown hair styled into a side braid with a cowlick off center of her fringe and brown eyes. Depending on the version played, Juliana's uniform would be for either the Naranja Academy or the Uva Academy. She wears a red and white hair clip at the end of her braid.
Naranja Academy
At the Naranja Academy in Scarlet, Juliana's uniform consists of a white polo shirt with the school's emblem on her left shoulder, an orange tie, a white and blue bucket hat, orange shorts with vertical stripes and pockets, white socks with an orange stripe and black running shoes. She carries a black backpack with the school's emblem on the front pocket and a small tag on the right side.
Uva Academy
At the Uva Academy in Violet, Juliana's uniform consists of a white polo shirt with the school's emblem on her left shoulder, a deep purple tie, a black and white bucket hat, purple shorts with pockets, black socks with a yellow band and brown running shoes. She carries a brown backpack with the school's emblem on the front pocket and a small tag on the right side.
Kitakami
Whilst on a field trip in Kitakami, Juliana wears a dark green Jinbei with white shapes of various Pokémon, red cords, green sandals with red straps and wears her hair in a side ponytail.
Personality
Juliana is shown to be open and energetic, showing confidence in her skills.
Biography
Etymology
Juliana's name can be derived from the Latin word for "juvenile" or "youthful" (Juvenil) or the flower "Geum 'Prinses Juliana'". It may also include a play on the word jewel, referring to the Terastal phenomenon.
In other languages
Japanese: Aoi, アオイ, may come from the Japanese term for either "blue" or "green". It can also refer to the plant Alcea.
Trivia
- Juliana and Florian are the only pair of player characters to wear two different clothing sets depending on the version played.
