Amity Square is a location introduced in Generation IV.
Description
Pokémon Trainers is a park in the northernmost area of Hearthome City where Pokémon Trainers can go on a walk with their Pokémon. A Pokémon may pick up an item during the walk. The player can interact with the Pokémon following them to either see how they feel or if they got an item via Pickup, as the Pokémon following them picks up either an accessory or Berry every 200 steps. If the player tries to enter the stroll without a Pokémon, there is a lady who tells them of the Pokémon that are allowed to enter. After the player is done at Amity Square, their party is restored to full health.
In Pokémon Platinum Version, the entrance into Amity Square was modified to feature a Drifloon, Pikachu, Psyduck, and a Torchic. The layout of the park was also modified, adding both new entrances and a larger pool of water than in Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version. The rock huts, which were previously only background elements, can now be entered, warping the player out of one of the other rock huts. The Sinnoh first partner Pokémon and their evolved forms can now enter Amity Square as well.

Trivia
- A Youngster near the Pokémon Mansion says that Mr. Backlot owns the Amity Square and the Pokémon Mansion.
- No Generation II Pokémon can enter the stroll unless a cheating device is used to walk through walls with a Generation II Pokémon in first slot of the party, although it is invisible.
- Amity Square appears to have been a precursor of the walking Pokémon system that was later implemented in Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version to allow any of the 493 Pokémon at the time to follow the player.
