Waford is a fallen sky island that the Straw Hat Pirates shipwreck on in One Piece Odyssey. Until 200 years ago, the island floated on a giant Sabao bubble; however, the bubble was destroyed, and the island fell to the Blue Sea.[1]
While unconfirmed, Nico Robin speculates that Weatheria may be partially built and influenced by remains of Waford from before it fell into the Blue Sea.
Geography

Waford is a nature-filled island that is surrounded by storms. It has distinct forested and beach-covered areas, with ruins of a past civilization scattered across it.[2]
The island is shaped like a giant ring. Until 200 years ago, twelve towers stood around the hole in the ring. In the present day, the hole has filled with seawater, with the towers collapsing inwards and floating on the inland sea.
Locations
King Kong Garden
King Kong Garden (大猿の庭?) is a forested area of the island off of the coast. It is defined by a river that runs through it, a massive tree that grows along the water, and the Del Kong's nest. This is where the Straw Hat Pirates first reunited with Nami and Roronoa Zoro after shipwrecking on Waford.[3]
Shipwreck Beach
Shipwreck Beach (難破船の浜辺, Nanbasen no Hamabe?) is a beach to the north of King Kong Garden. A boat is shipwrecked along the shore.
Adio's House
Adio's House (アディオの家?) is the house where Adio Suerte and Lim lived. It is located near the center of the island.
Lake Shore Cave
Lake Shore Cave (湖畔の洞窟?) is a cave near the island's inland sea. It contains ancient Waford ruins depicting Sea Kings. After Lim took away the Straw Hats' abilities, one of their Cubes landed in the cave. It was first explored two years ago by Adio, who named it at the time. Despite the body of water being an inland sea, and not a lake like he thought, he left the name the same.[4]
Thunderhead Bluff
Thunderhead Bluff (雷鳴の断崖?) is a mountain near Waford's shoreline. The path upwards contains stone ruins in the shape of triumphal arches.
Thunderhead Ruins
At the top of the mountain lies the Thunderhead Ruins (雷鳴の遺構, Raimei no Ikō?), the home of the Thunder Colossus. The ruins are surrounded by constant lightning, and according to Adio Suerte, the residents used to study lightning. The Thunder Colossus lived at the bottom of the ruins, behind a barrier of lightning, until the Straw Hat Pirates disabled the barrier and defeated it.
Forbidden Valley
The Forbidden Valley (禁忌の谷, Kinki no Tani?) is a small valley in the forest. It contains two locked chests, and a multitude of cube fragments landed there.
Dust Ruins
The Dust Ruins (砂塵の遺構, Sajin no Ikō?) are large, ancient, sand-covered ruins on Waford. The floor is made entirely of quicksand, and is impossible to cross normally. It is the home of the Wind Colossus and, temporarily, Kogani. It is located directly to the west of Adio's House, and is locked until the Thunder Colossus' core is placed in a pedestal outside. The Wind Colossus lived at the bottom of the ruins until the Straw Hat Pirates defeated it.
Hermit's Cave
The Hermit's Cave (隠者の洞窟, Inja no Dōkutsu?) is a small cave to the west of Adio's House. It is inhabitated by Madame Julie.
Ice Block Ruins
The Ice Block Ruins (氷塊の遺構, Hyōkai no Ikō?) are ancient ruins on Waford. They open onto a massive waterfall, and every room in the ruins is filled with water. Machines exist inside the ruins to instantly freeze and unfreeze all the water, allowing access to previously blocked paths. It was the home of the Water Colossus, until the Straw Hat Pirates defeated it. It is located directly to the west of Adio's House, and is locked until the Wind Colossus' core is placed in a pedestal outside.
12 Towers
The 12 Towers (12本の塔, 12-Pon no Tō?) are 12 towers located around the edges of Waford. Out of fear of the Divine Breath's full power, the research done on it was split into these towers. Six of them, studying lightning, wind, water, fire, magnetism, and pressure, were designed to study more basic elements, while the remaining six studied complex experiments such as thunder, ice blocks, sandstorms, and sweltering heat.
At some point during or since Waford's fall, the towers have collapsed inwards, floating on the inland sea.
Tower of Heaven
The Tower of Heaven (天仰の塔, Tengyō no Tō?) is a large tower in the north part of Waford and is where the Divine Breath was sealed. Until the Straw Hat Pirates defeated the four Colossi, it was surrounded in a large barrier going up into the sky. In the English version of One Piece Odyssey, the Tower of Heaven's name is localized as Sky Tower.
Misogi Garden
The Misogi Garden (禊の園, Misogi no En?) is a large forested area in the middle portion of the Tower of Heaven. It contains the gateway to the Room of Longevity, protected by a Volcano Lizard. It is named after misogi, a practice of ritual purification.
In the English version of One Piece Odyssey, Misogi Garden's name is localized as Purity Garden.
Room of Celebration
The Room of Celebration (寿ぎの部屋, Kotohogi no Heya?) is the final publicly accessible room in the Tower of Heaven, providing access to the Room of Peace. To open the doorway to the Room of Peace, one must play the Sunlight of Salvation with pure intentions.
In the English version of One Piece Odyssey, the Room of Celebration's name is localized as Room of Longevity.
Room of Comfort
The Room of Comfort (安らぎの部屋, Yasuragi no Heya?) is a small room between the Room of Celebration and the Rooms of Recollection. It is only accessible from the Room of Celebration.
In the English version of One Piece Odyssey, the Room of Comfort's name is localized as Room of Peace.
Room of Recollection
The Rooms of Recollection (追想の間, Tsuisō no Ma?) are a set of three rooms leading to the rooftop of the Tower of Heaven. They contain orange cubes that transform into noteworthy enemies from visitors' memories. In the case of the Straw Hat Pirates, these enemies were Kaku and Rob Lucci, Donquixote Doflamingo and Crocodile, and the three pre-timeskip Admirals.

Waford has its own ecosystem and species that are native to the island. However, other creatures like the Del Kong, Jura Chou, and Shogun Jishi, thought to only inhabit Merveille, appear as well.[2]
History
Past
In the past, Waford was inhabited by the Wandering Clan. The island was constantly surrounded by storms, and meteorological studies determined it would only get worse. The Wandering Clan sent out explorers to find a solution, and they found the Divine Breath in the Tower of Heaven, bringing it back to Waford. Rita Suerte managed to communicate with it, offering the Wandering Clan's research in exchange for stopping the storms.[5]
200 years ago, the Divine Breath wanted to study the Blue Sea, and manipulated the World Government into attacking the Wandering Clan and starting a war.[5] During this war, the clan (with the exception of the original Lim) was lured away from the island, and the Sabao bubble supporting the island was popped, causing it to fall into the Blue Sea. Unaware of the island's location, the Wandering Clan was stuck without a homeland, and were forced to wander the Blue Sea.
One Piece Odyssey
The Straw Hat Pirates washed up on Waford, where they were tricked by Adio Suerte into defeating the four Colossi and removing the barrier around the Divine Breath. Adio took control of the Divine Breath, ridding Waford of the storms surrounding it.
