Mukchi

Mukchi is a Mukashic Synthesizer (ムカシック合成機, Mukashikku Gōsei-ki?, English: "Olassic Synthesizer") located on Waford. It appears in One Piece Odyssey, where it acts as a way for the player to combine accessories.[1]

Appearance

Mukchi Interacted With

Mukchi is a large, robot-like machine, standing even taller than the 8-foot Adio Suerte. It has a body section with glowing wires in its center, two rotating dials, and two sliding levers, as well as two arms ending in swirling circles. Above its body section it has a head with an open mouth and two eyes, causing it to resemble a fish, and under its body section it has a square base with four levers sticking out of it, two on each side, and another open mouth in the center. Above its head is a glowing blue ball.

When not in use, Mukchi's head periodically looks from side to side. When it is interacted with or two accessories are combined, Mukchi shakes, all its components move, and its eyes and ball flash.

Abilities

Mukchi has the ability to synthesize Mukashic Cubes, such as the ones released by the Colossi. In practice, this manifests itself as the ability to combine accessories, which provide buffs to those who use them. However, as Mukchi is not intelligent, it simply acts as the machinery to perform the combination; it must still be operated by someone else.

To use Mukchi, it must be given the two accessories, and all four levers on its base must be pulled at exactly the same time. As this would require two people perfectly in sync, it was thought to be unusable by Lim, but that restriction was able to be circumvented by Nico Robin using the Hana Hana no Mi. Robin's usage of Mukchi is called Robin's Mystery Craft (ロビンのミステリークラーフト, Robin no Misuterī Kurāfuto?).

The technology used to create Mukchi and its synthesis capabilities have been lost to time, and the process behind how it works is unknown.[1]

History

Past

Mukchi was built by a resident of Waford some time in the distant past. When exactly it was created is unknown, but it was considered ancient even by Lim.

One Piece Odyssey

While the Straw Hat Pirates were in the Arabasta Kingdom Memoria, Adio found Mukchi. When they returned to Waford, he brought them to it, explaining that it appeared to be a kind of synthesizer that was no longer operational. Lim further explained what Mukchi is and how to use it, noting that unless someone had four arms, it would be impossible to be in sync enough to use its levers.

Hearing that, Nico Robin noted that four arms was easy for her, and she used Mukchi to combine accessories, opening her "Robin's Mystery Craft" station in their base camp.

Throughout the rest of their adventure on Waford, the Straw Hats made use of Mukchi to combine any other accessories they needed.[1]
