Grand Bleu (or Grand Blue) (グランブルー Gurando burū) is a Stand featured in the light novel JORGE JOESTAR. It is the Stand of Muryotaisu Nijimura from the 37th Universe.
Grand Bleu manifests of three sentient dolphins, each with their own name.
Appearance
Grand Bleu is a group of three dolphins, each with different designs. They have sharp teeth and have different patterns for each one. They have streaks that run down from the back of their eyes.
Personality
Because they are sentient Stands, they are each given their own name. Originally, Muryotaisu only had one dolphin, but had manifested into two more later on. He names them Yohana (ヨハナ), Enzo (エンツォ), and Jacques (ジャック). These names are based off of the characters from the movie The Big BlueW.[1]
Abilities
Flight
The dolphins are able to fly around in the air at a very high speed, in which Joji describes them to have "shot away like rockets". Joji had described that Stands are able to defy the laws of physics, in this case, Grand Bleu's physics are essentially better. As he rides on them, he explains that forces like centrifugal and gravitational acceleration did not apply to the dolphins, as he could not feel the wind on his face as he rode on them because the Stand completely ignores inertia.[2]
Muryotaisu is also able to allow any person to ride on his dolphins. The dolphins will obey orders from their riders as long as they obey Muryotaisu. Only two people can ride on them each. Their range is extremely large, being able to fly away from Muryotaisu along with their rider.
