Dune

Strictly speaking, my Dune is almost certainly not a Stand, but...Once it gets far enough from my body, it becomes ordinary sand again.

Soundman facing Narancia in Chapter 10

Dune (デューン Dyūn) is the Bound of Goyathlay Soundman from the 37th universe, featured in the light novel JORGE JOESTAR. It later is used by Kars, who creates a more superior version of it which he calls, Dune Ultimate.

Appearance

Dune and soundman

Dune appears similarly to its original counterpart, In a Silent Way, although it now has a body made up of sand. It has the same war bonnet and the Mosaic mask of Tezcatlipoca.

Description

The information below derives from a source not written by Araki. As such, it may or may not be considered canonW.

It possesses the ability to absorb sand from any environment and manipulate the sand into different shapes, allowing its user to be invulnerable to most attacks. Kars later mimics the ability with enhanced capabilities, creating larger whirlpools and sand pillars than the original.

Abilities

Sand Manipulation

Dune's body is made out of sand, originated from his native land. It is able to transform into many forms, but will return to normal sand if the user is too far from it. Soundman can also send Dune to search for more sand. The sand created from Dune can also allow Soundman to hear things from far distances. Soundman can also use the sand as armor, giving him an advantage from any attacks. Although, if he were to have covered his face with sand, he will not be able to see.[1]
