X2 is the main playable protagonist of the 2009 sci-fi action video game Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squardon and the cancelled game Star Wars: Battlefront III.
He is a Force sensitive former clone trooper along with his brother, X1 who is secretly cloned from the Jedi knight Falon Grey in order to fought for the Galactic Republic against the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. However, when Order 66 is activated and the Great Jedi Purge begins, X2 begins to question the morality of his actions, which lead to him abandoning the Empire during a raid on a Dantooine village, during which time he met his genetic template, Falon Grey. Shortly after however, Grey was killed by X1, who also nearly killed X2, but Grey used his the last of his life force to heal X2, sacrificing himself in the process so that his, 'son' could live.
After Grey's death, X2 remained on Dantooine for many years until he met former Jedi Rahm Kota, who motivated him to join the Rebel Alliance and to fight against the Galactic Empire. He fought in the most crucial battles for the Rebellion, including the Battle of Yavin IV, the Battle of Hoth and the Battle of Endor.
He also aided in the establishment of the New Republic, during which time he began his Jedi training under Luke Skywalker. Eventually he rescued Luke from his brother X1, who had completely embraced the dark side, and engaged him in a climactic duel on Mustafar, ending in X1's death. After this, Luke Skywalker granted him the rank of Jedi Master.
History
Clone Wars
X2 was one of the two cloned brothers alongside his brother X1. The two rose up in the ranks in the clone army, even being notable out of the bunch for their difference in appearance compared to the general clone troopers. During the war, the two is reknowned as heroes of the Clone War. However, in a mission on the planet Neimoidia, the Jedi Purge enacted and the two brothers are forced to fight against their own Jedi Commander, Ferroda.
X2 questioned his corps for such act, but then forced himself to fight Ferroda after seeing him killing his fellow troopers and harming his brother. Eventually winning the fight, X2 raised doubts in his action. This lead to his desicion to leave the Galatic Empire, retiring to become a farmer.
Galatic Civil War
He goes on the live a quiet life as a farmer until meeting Falon Grey, who revealed to him that he was the original template for the two brothers creation. Hoping for a chance to redeem himself from his dark past, he joined the Rebellion under Falon's command.
During his early time as a Rebel soldier, he supported Falon Grey to fought against the forces of clone troopers. In the midst of battle, he met X1 once again and witnessed Falon's forces being defeated, even followed with him being left to die by his very own brother he once trust. X2 managed to escape to the Rebel base, where he will participate in several more battles until the destruction of the Second Death Star.
After the Second Death Star destruction, X2 force potential is regconized by Luke Skywalker, who decided to take up the mentor role and train him into a full fledged Jedi Knight. Knowing that his brother hasn't truly vanished, X2 vowed to track him down and stop him from rebuilding the fallen Empire.
X2 continue to fight against the Empire remmants and eventually confront his brother in a final duel on the Mustafar cloning facility. X2 and his brother fought each other greatly, as X2 won and offered his brother mercy. His brother however refused and attempt to kill X2, yet X2 managed to dogde the very blade and defeat his brother once and for all, ensuring the Empire will not march again on to the galaxy.
With the end of the battle, X2 is granted the rank of Master by Skywalker himself, now rising as one of the promient figures of the new Jedi Order.
Personality
In contrast to his brother, X2 is a very humble individual. He understands his cause and serve his duties, remaining very appreticative of the titles given to him. He is also less confirmed with protocol than X1. X2 is more emotional than his brother, as shown when he initially struggled to enact Order 66 upon command, even wishing to speak with master Ferroda in order to find out the truth. However, he is willing to fought those who harmed his loved ones and allies, as seen when he killed Master Ferroda after Ferroda killed several clones and wounded X1 (even though Ferroda acted in self defense.
After killing Ferroda, X2 express no joy and even filled himself with guilt of what he had done. He choose to stop working for the Empire and even attempt to live a quiet life. Once meeting his "father", X2 hopes to redeem himself by stopping the Galatic Empire from their plans in order to return freedom to the galaxy.
Even after becoming a Jedi Knight, X2 did not develop any sense of ego, even showing that he is still compassionate and still felt sympathy for his brother after all he had done.

- Originally, X2 is planned to appear in Star Wars: Battlefront III. However, the disbantion of Free Radical leads to Rebellion's creation Elite Squardon, where he makes a physical appearance.
- While bear a voice, X2 voice actor was not credited in the credits of Elite Squadron.
