~ X1 after he stabs his template and father, Falon Grey |
X1 is the main antagonist of Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron and the 2008 canceled game, Star Wars: Battlefront III.
He was a Force-sensitive clone trooper created by the Galactic Republic towards the end of the Clone Wars. A clone created with the DNA of a Jedi Master, X1 was assigned to help the Republic in various missions against the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
His younger clone brother was X2, created for the same purpose. However, after the battle on Cato Neimoidia and the enacting of Order 66, X2 decided to leave his dark past behind and fight the Galactic Empire, while X1 chose to stay with the Empire.
X1 and his brother met later on Dantooine. X2 helped Falon Grey, the brothers' genetic father, fight Imperial stormtroopers, but X1 arrived, killed Grey, and left X2 to die. X1 helped the Empire in many ways, including at the Battle of Hoth. During this time, he began to train his Force powers, digging himself deeper and further into the dark side of the Force. The brothers were reunited on a Star Destroyer, and after a short battle, the two escaped the exploding ship.
After the Battle of Endor and the death of the Emperor, X1 declared himself as a Sith Lord and operated from Darth Vader's fortress on Vjun. X2, now a Jedi Knight, and the forces of the young New Republic infiltrated the fortress only to find that X1 had escaped to Mustafar.
However, using a Sith holocron, X2 tracked his evil brother to Mustafar and attacked the planet in a short battle. X1 attacked his brother above the planet and then in his laboratory of insane clones on the fiery surface. X1 confronted his brother one last time, and the Jedi defeated him, sending him burning into the lava.
History
Creation
X1 and X2 were originally Clones bread in the cloning facilities on Kamino to serve as soldiers in the Grand Army of the Republic. The two of them were both Force-sensitive clones created by the Kaminoans from the DNA of the Jedi Knight, Falon Grey. Grey, at the time in 22 BBY, was the apprentice of Jedi Master Rahm Kota and was badly injured during his travels and was brought to Kamino by his master as a means of helping him heal from his injuries.
Grey was healed, but part of his DNA was taken by the Kaminoans without his consent during his time in healing stasis and it was used to create X1 and X2. X1 was considered the "older" brother since he was born an hour before X2 and the two were both trained alongside the other Clone Troopers from Jango Fett's DNA for military service for the Republic.

Personality
X1 started off as a strong, brave and loyal clone trooper who loved his twin, X2, whom he called, "little brother." However, as the Clone Wars dragged on, X1 became frustrated with the Jedi, believing their dedication to peace limited their capability as soldiers and that they should be more willing to use their power. By the time of Order 66, he had no qualms about killing Master Ferroda.
During the Imperial era, X1 became increasingly violent, ruthless, heartless, callous, manipulative and power hungty. He was willing to massacre an entire village as a means of setting an example for sheltering a Jedi. This was when X1 and X2 went their separate ways, with X1 becoming furious and deeming X2 a traitor. When the raid began, he immediately recognized that Falon Grey shared his and X2's face, but this had no effect on him at all and immediately tried to kill him. When Falon Grey beat him, he faked remorse for all the deaths he caused, and the moment Grey let his guard down he killed him without any hesitation or regret. When Falon Grey told X1 he can destroy his enemies by making peace with them, X1 responded by saying there can only be peace after their enemies are destroyed completely. He also lashed out at X2 and nearly killed him with Grey's lightsaber. Over the years, as he rose through the ranks, his hatred, cruelty and lust for power only increased. He was unforgiving of failure, killing those who did.
By the time the Empire fell, X1 was completely and irrevocably consumed by the dark side of the Force, both physically and mentally. He was utterly consumed by anger, rage, hatred, and megalomania, and sought to rule the galaxy. When he engaged X2 for their final battle on Mustafar, he demanded X2 kill him so that he would also fall. When X2 refused, X1 to use trickery by using the Force to activate his lightsaber. It failed and X2 dodged, resulting in X1 getting stabbed and falling into the lava below.
