
Hideo Shimazu is one of the heroes in Capcom's series of fighting games, Rival Schools. He is a Japanese language teacher who is partnered with Kyoko as they sent to recruit respective students to Justice High and mastered the art of Shimazu-styled karate as a Shoto-clone.
He was voiced by the late Tetsuo Mizutori.

First of all, Hideo was brainwashed by the principal Raizo and forced to send the students to their respective school, but clearly snapped out by Taiyo High's high school students from brainwashing. He has some concerns for his love interest Kyoko as he proposes to her, especially in his ending.
Project Justice
Both Hideo and Kyoko, together with a fellow instructor from Taiyo High, must investigate the mysterious antagonist who is capable of the latest assaults on the school and discover that an anonymous student at Justice High is responsible. In his following story, Hideo is considerably playable when using Justice High School team, with the actual ending showing that he was hospitalized from the incident, but a specific explanation to why is unknown.
Other appearances
The teachers Hideo and Kyoko from Justice High School appear to be playable in the crossover strategy role-playing game titled Namco X Capcom, a prequel to Project X Zone.
