Orcs (オーク, Ōku?) are a recurring race the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in Final Fantasy Adventure. They are generally depicted as savage pig-faced beastmen but can have a more humanoid or even reptilian appearance. Orcs are generally hostile pillagers, with very few friendly orcs encountered. The common Orc, also known as the Orcish Fodder or Mad Boar, is typically encountered as the weakest enemy of its type.

Final Fantasy XI
Orcs are a race of hulking, tribal, reptilian beastmen that hail from the northern continent of Rhazowa, where their empire resides. They also have a substantial military presence in the Middle Lands, namely the continent of Quon, where they have a small outpost called Ghelsba in the Ronfaure region, and a large stronghold known as Davoi in the Norvallen region. These settlements are close to the Elvaan Kingdom of San d'Oria, and are led by Overlord Bakgodek.
Final Fantasy XVI
Orc are savage humanoid beastmen native to the continent of Ash. While they have historically feuded with the kingdom of Waloed for control of the continent, the recent spread of the Blight has forced the former enemies into an alliance. The common Orcish Fodder, named just "Orc" in the Japanese release, can be encountered as an enemy in the Drake's Fang, the Free Cities of Kanver, and Drake's Spine stages, the Gilded Path and Rymasov Flats regions of Dhalmekia, and the Great Southern Gate, Kritten Hollow, and Wolfdarr regions of Waloed.

The Orc appears as a humanoid enemy encountered in the Mine of Cathuriges. It can be found wielding hammers and shields, spears, or casting spells, and one can usually hear it laughing in anticipation of victory before they can be spotted. It is terribly difficult to defeat, and can be stunned with thunder spells or freeze them with blizzard spells. The Orc can block normal attacks with its shield should it be carrying one.

Etymology
An orc is a fictional humanoid creature that is part of a fantasy race akin to goblins. While the overall concept of orcs draws on a variety of pre-existing mythology, the main conception of the creatures stems from the fantasy writings of J. R. R. Tolkien, in particular The Lord of the Rings. The concept of porcine orcs was popularized by the Dragon Quest series.
