- This article is about the Supreme Demon King. For the episode of the same name, see Gomah (episode).
Gomah (ゴマー Gomā, lit. "Gomer"), previously known as King Gomah (キング・ゴマー Kingu Gomā, lit. "King Gomer"), is a demon from Demon Realm. Previously the Vice-Supreme Demon King,[1] he becomes the new Supreme Demon King after learning of Dabura's death.[2]
He is the main antagonist of the Daima Saga.
Appearance

Gomah is a short Majin who wears a skintight red and black body suit with white gloves and white boots with gray soles. The suit seems to have a large "M" like insignia. He also dons a cape which is quite similar to what Dabura and Degesu wear. He has a white face with red underlines under each of his eyes which also have a black eyeliner. He has a pair of large horns that seem to be fused with his head rather than growing out of them separately and has distinctive pointy ears. He also carries around a dark purple staff which has golden ends and a red crystal ball on the top.
Personality
Gomah is an arrogant demon with a short temper who takes great pride in being the new King of the Demon Realm. He is also cowardly and somewhat submissive, becoming very paranoid about losing the position after discovering the Dragon Team's defeat of Majin Buu and arrival in the Demon Realm, and is susceptible to having his fears preyed upon, which Dr. Arinsu exploited to force Gomah to keep funding her research. He is disrespectful to those around him, constantly ridiculing Neva for his senility and lack of personal hygiene, trying to intimidate Sir Warp, and being short with Degesu for not being more proactive in halting the Dragon Team's progress. However, he is more amiable with Degesu, likely due to Degesu's genuine advice and willingness to serve, and considers giving him one of Shenron's three wishes (unaware Shenron only grants regulars such a luxury).
While malevolent, Gomah is not totally ruthless, opting to wish for the Dragon Team to regress into children rather than smite them outright (though he and Degesu imply they would have done so had the Earth's Dragon Balls not been based in white magic), and using Dende as a hostage instead of killing him, expressing some care for the Namekian's well-being and demanding Dende's caretaker read his bedtime story with more emotion and joy. Still, Gomah is no better a ruler than his predecessor Dabura, maintaining both the Gendarmerie and the use of Arinsu's Magic Collars and exacting pointless cruelty to the point where Panzy views Dabura more positively than Gomah, even though Gomah had not been in power for very long.

Daima Saga

In the Demon's King Palace, Gomah and Degesu use a magic monitor to jump through the key events that occurred when Earth was invaded by the Organization of Babidi and Majin Buu. While watching these events, Gomah curses Babidi for using Dabura as his subordinate and notices Shin being involved. When looking into further events, Gomah and Degesu are taken by surprise by the power the mortals on Earth possess. After learning of Dabura's defeat, Gomah becomes the new Supreme Demon King. However, their celebration is short lived when Dr. Arinsu arrives and stirs up Gomah's anxiety after threatens to cut her research fund by suggesting that the mortals who defeated Majin Buu will invade Demon Realm. After hearing this, Gomah decides to use Earth's Dragon Balls to weaken everyone involved in the battle with Buu and acquire the Evil Third Eye. He also decides to bring Neva with them, and they leave through Sir Warp to Universe 7's Earth.

Upon arriving on the Lookout, Gomah tells Dende to summon the Dragon Balls, but he refuses so Gomah has Neva do it instead. While waiting, Gomah explains the Namekians origins to Dende and summons Shenron while Degesu prevents Dende from interfering. He then wishes for Summon turn everyone who fought Majin Buu and their friends into children and babies.[2] However, he surprised to learn that he only gets one wish due to being a first-time user and would've wish for the Evil Third Eye instead if he had known that. Gomah then tells Neva to restore the Dragon Balls again but learns he can't do that twice in a row and gets angry. Once Degesu reminds him that the mortals are harmless now, Gomah decides to take the child-like Dende with him so that the Dragon Balls will no longer be usable on Earth and returns to the Demon Realm.[3]
In the Demon's King Palace, Gomah tells the babysitter to read the book to a young Dende with more emotion in her voice as he needs to be taken good care of due to how important he will become for him.[4]
Sometime later, Gomah and Degesu review footage of Vegeta's first battle with Innocent Buu and notice Dr. Arinsu in the background collecting some of Buu's residue after he had been blown to pieces by Vegeta's Final Explosion.[5]

Gomah learns from Degesu that the ones who were turned into children on Earth have entered the Demon Realm and defeated one of the Tamagami to win the Dragon Ball from him. An angry Gomah orders Degesu to do something about the situation before it escalates further, wishing that he had instead used his wish to ask for the Evil Third Eye instead when he had the chance.[6] They watch Goku defeat five Gendarmerie planes in the Second Demon World and Gomah requests all the Gendarmerie gather in the First Demon World before it's too late.[7] Gomah and Degesu continue to watch Goku's group as they meet Neva, who joins them, and defeat Tamagami Number Two for their second Dragon Ball.[8] However, eruptions from outside the palace causes them switch monitors and learn that Dr. Arinsu's strange creature has defeated Tamagami Number One for a Dragon Ball as well.[9] Due to these events, a panicked Gomah orders for Sir Warp to be disabled so that Goku's group are unable to travel to the First Demon World to which Degesu begrudgingly does so.[10]

Gomah and Degesu then meet up with the Gendarmerie Force and explains to them that a bunch of enemies are likely to be making their way towards them from the Second Demon World and so they have been summoned to act as a form of defense just in case they arrive. Once Degesu receives a call that Goku's group arrive, Gomah orders an attack.[11] While monitoring the battle, they notice that Hybis is currently in possession of the Evil Third Eye located on his belt buckle and so Gomah orders Degesu to find a way to retrieve it.[12]

After witnessing Degesu's betrayal and defeat, Gomah is elated to see the eye bought to him by a female demon who places it on his forehead causing Gomah to take on a different form as he grows considerably in size and strength.[13] He then confronts the intruders to test his new found strength and creates a floating ring in the sky before fighting Vegeta first. He overpowers Vegeta with his raw strength and proceeds to take down Goku, Piccolo, Shin, Glorio, Majin Kuu, Majin Duu, and Tamagami Number One.[14] However, he gets overwhelmed by Super Saiyan 3 Goku, Duu, and Tamagami Number One but Gomah unleashes even more power to defeat them. Gomah prepares to finish everyone until Neva draws out Goku's new form and is on the receiving end until he receives even more power, causing him to take on a gigantic state and drains Goku's power.

When the dragon is summoned, Gomah races at him and attempts an attack but is effortlessly flicked away.[15] Once Goku and the others are returned to their normal ages, Gomah is beaten to a pulp by Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta but the Evil Third Eye continues to restores him while Vegeta runs out of energy. Gomah then battles Goku again after Vegeta is forced to step down and watches him transform into each Super Saiyan form until he reaches Super Saiyan 4 again.[16]

Their fight rages on across the ring until an energy clash happens with Goku being the one to prevail as his 10x Kamehameha rips straight through Gomah's mid-section and into the sky tunneling through the Demon Realm. Then, Piccolo charges towards the back of Gomah's head to knock out the Third Evil Eye but Gomah stops him and is healed again. However, Kuu strikes Gomah with the Book of Magic Items three times, knocking the eye out of Gomah's head defeating him and returning to his normal state. He then sealed away with Degesu in a jar for 99 years by Marba where they play video games together.[17]
Power
In his base form, Gomah is extremely physically inept. He has no confidence in being able to defeat the Tamagami himself, opting instead to use Earth's Dragon Balls and finds the notion of someone actually acquiring the Dragon Balls from them as being impossible. Additionally, he has great trouble extracting the Evil Third Eye from Hybis' belt. However, despite his short stature, he is known to be a crafty individual who is capable of using amazing magical abilities that even Marba, the witch who created Majin Buu, warned Dr. Arinsu to not take him lightly. Nevertheless, Glorio and Kadan believe that Goku should be able to defeat him as he had already previously defeated Majin Buu. He is also overall inferior to Dabura, as he never made an attempt to steal the throne of Supreme Demon King from him despite craving it.
After being granted power by the Evil Third Eye, Gomah becomes capable of effortlessly overpowering all of his enemies, including Mini Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan forms, Mini Piccolo (who has removed his weighted clothing), Mini Shin, Glorio, Majin Kuu, Majin Duu, and Tamagami Number One. Initially, only a direct punch by Super Saiyan Goku onto the Evil Third Eye itself caused Gomah audible pain. Duu is capable of briefly restraining Gomah, and when working with Tamagami Number One (in his Fury state) they are able to hold back Gomah's energy wave for a time. After Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan 3 and Duu mimics him, they are capable of effectively fighting with Gomah, even dealing some damage, however they are still overwhelmed even when aided by Tamagami Number One once again. After Goku achieves Super Saiyan 4, he and Gomah prove to be roughly evenly matched, though Goku manages to defeat Gomah after being bought enough time to charge a Kamehameha. Once Gomah draws more power from the Evil Third Eye and grows to immense sizes he manages to overpower Super Saiyan 4 Goku and quickly drains his energy from him, however he himself is nothing compared to the Demon Realm Porunga, who casually flicks him away when he attempts to attack him.
When faced against Vegeta, who has been restored to an adult, the super-giant Gomah proves to be able to fight his Super Saiyan 3 form in one-on-one combat, though Vegeta has a notable edge in all of their clashes. However, Gomah has the overall advantage due to his Evil Third Eye supplying him with unlimited stamina and regeneration, while Vegeta's runs out rapidly due to Super Saiyan 3. Following this he faces off against Super Saiyan 4 Goku, who has also been restored to an adult, and has now grown to the point that he was almost equal with his foe, only barely losing out on their final beam struggle. He powers up again once more following this, however he loses all of this power when the Evil Third Eye is knocked out of his forehead by Kuu.
