Sunnycide is an egg-based Shroob and a minor boss in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. It is a parasite in Yoob's belly that seals Yoshis eaten by Yoob in eggs to turn them into Yoobs.
Biography
Sunnycide is the control of Yoob, who is responsible of eating many Yoshis that were trapped inside the egg. Inside of Yoob, Sunnycide runs a large factory that attempts to transform them into shroobs. Inside the same factory are dead remains of koopas or reanimated counterparts, meaning that Sunnycide used Yoob to exterminate them and planned more Yoobs in order to aid in world domination for the Shroob race. However, Sunnycide was soon destroyed by Mario Bros.giving them and yoshis escape and his death caused the gigantic Yoob to shut down for good.
Battle
Sunnycide has many attacks in battle. It mainly attacks by hurling eggs at Mario, Luigi, or the babies. It can also suck up either one to heal its own HP. When Sunnycide is flipped over its back, it poses two new attacks which involves pulling a rope that can either: turn of the lights and a Boo attacks one of the group or summons a trap hole that will pull them under.
Trivia
- Sunnycide's name is a play on the term "sunny-side up", a way that people fry eggs.
- It is one of the few members of the Shroobs, minus a lot of common enemies, that does not have a Mushroom Kingdom counterpart.
