Snow King

The Snow King is the main antagonist of Mario Golf: Super Rush. He is a gigantic overarching snowman who plans to freeze the world.

Appearance

The Snow King is mainly a snowman with an angry look, his nose is a blue crystal, and his body consists of two giant snowballs that stack up with blue buttons on the front. His mittens are red and green with red and green crystals that form inside them. He also wears a blue cape with gold trimmings, a gold necklace with a blue gem inside, and wears a blue crown with gold trimmings and a white pearl on top.

Biography

While he doesn't appear until the final battle, the Snow King is mentioned by the lightning spirit in a small backstory when he once ruled Mount Snow. For years, the Snow King cast blizzards encasing the world in ice until Bowser arrived and thawed him away with his flame breath (which suddenly awoke the dormant volcano that released a flood of lava). But due to strong winds scattering pollen from the Tree of Sleep, Bowser fell into an eternal slumber, bringing the evil Snow King back to life. Since then, the Snow King's chill encircles Bowser's Castle.

Much later, when Mario and Rookie arrive at the peak, they find that the Snow King isn't there. Suddenly, a cage lands onto Mario, trapping him inside, to which the Snow King drops in. He reveals his plan to encase the world into ice forever, but he's immediately surprised to see that Mario isn't alone and then challenges Rookie to a battle, which Rookie accepts.

After his defeat, the Snow King taunts Rookie by summoning another blizzard only to be stunned by the lightning spirit, but he still manages to continue but is halted by Bowser, who is now awake from his slumber. The Snow King is shocked by this discovery and wonders how it was possible since he thought he encased him in a sheet of ice. Just then Toad explains to the Snow King that he reached Mario and that it was Bowser Jr. who took initiative. Then in one last attempt, Bowser breathes fire across his kingdom, thawing away the snow and melting the Snow King for good.
