Loskene is the main antagonist of the Star Trek episode "The Tholian Web".
He was only seen on the viewscreen, with his appearance achieved by a visual effect. His voice was provided, uncredited, by Barbara Babcock, who also played Molly Merchants in Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House and Rosemary Taylor in Murder, She Wrote .
Biography Commander Loskene was a Tholian officer in command of a ship. He approached the Enterprise, with Commander Spock in command, and accused them of infringing Tholian space, although Spock believed they were in neutral space. Spock explained they were there on a rescue mission, to which Loskene argued there were no other ships in the area. Spock explained the other ship, the USS Defiant, was trapped in interspace and would reappear in 1 hour 53 minutes. Loskene agreed to wait that long.
However, the Tholian ship's presence had affected Spock's calculations and the Defiant did not reappear as scheduled. In response, Loskene opened fire on the Enterprise. The exchange of fire left both ships damaged. Rather than pressing the attack, Loskene summoned another Tholian ship and together the two ships began to form an energy web around the Enterprise, which would crush it when completed. However, the Enterprise was able to affect repairs (and also retrieve Captain Kirk, who had been stranded on the Defiant) and depart the area before the web could be used.
