Damrus is the main antagonist of the Enterprise episode "Rogue Planet".
He was portrayed by Keith Szarabajka, who also played Lucifer while possessing Donatello Redfield in Supernatural and Daniel Holtz in Angel and voiced Laserbeak in Transformers: Dark of the Moon .
Biography Damrus was the leader of a group of Eska hunters who travelled to the rogue planet Dakala. In order to preserve the native species, they were only allowed to hunt there for four days a year, with some hunters having to wait decades for a chance. He and his party met with Captain Archer and a group of Enterprise crewmembers exploring the planet and offered them hospitality at their camp. While the Starfleet crew were uncomfortable with the idea of hunting, they were interested in the Eska culture. Damrus allowed Lieutenant Reed to accompany a hunting party and accepted their medical help when one of his party, Burzaan , was injured.
Damrus was initially dismissive of Archer's claim to have seen a human woman on the planet but eventually admitted their main target was a lifeform unique to Dakala: A group of telepathic shapeshifting creatures called "wraiths", of which the woman Archer had seen was one. Even though they were capable of taking images from people's minds and acting on then, Damrus denied they were sentient, claiming it was purely instinctive. He explained the Eska had modified their tracking equipment to detect a chemical that the wraiths emitted when frightened.
Archer was disgusted at the idea of hunting a sentient species and provided the wraiths with a masking agent that would hide the chemical. The next day, Damrus and his men set out for their last hunt. However, they were unable to detect the wraiths and, realising they were in danger of being ambushed by them, retreated back to their camp. There, they were met by Archer, who innocently suggested he'd brought them bad luck.
