	~ Bégoniax upon Rayman coming to her house.

Bégoniax is a boss in the Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc and she is a stereotypical and sadomasochistic old witch. Bégoniax wears a red dress with a green vest and shoes of the same color, she has grey skin, red hair and wears a chamber pot on her head with a large fork.

History

Past

Begoniax is a witch who has an obsession with her appearance and plots many ways to have a potion to make herself beautiful. Due to her failed attempts at making herself a potion that would give her a form of beauty, this insteads result in descending to her insanity and transformed into a disfigured creature. At some point, she fell in love with any man she sees only to be rejected by each of them due to her appearance. As revenge, she transforms each one into a toad and breeds them to produce tadpoles which once many tadpoles were born, she couldn't know what to do with them any longer.

Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc

Rayman falls into Bégoniax's outhouse while she is doing her business, which angers her. After quickly running to her lair, she awaits Rayman for a battle while she steering her pot with a potion that transforms anyone into a frog. Once Rayman arrives, she prepares herself to fight him as she has the power to turn Rayman into a frog by hitting him with an odd brew. This can be used against her by punching the pot with Rayman's fists and hitting her with her own soup, if Rayman is turned into a frog she will chase him and try to stab him with her fork. Once she is weakened, she retreats to her room where she goes upset hoping that she is pretty while reluctantly allowing Rayman to enter her magic mirror to find Globox.

She appears later after the second battle with Razoff when she manage to enter the dungeon through his magic mirror and falls in love with him and took him against his will to her house. While she does, both Rayman and Globox watched in shock before they manage to use the magic mirror to transport themselves to the Land of The Livid Dead.

Rayman: Hoodlum's Revenge

She makes her final appearance once again as a boss where she moved into Begoniax Bayou (a bayou named after herself). When Rayman and Globox reunite, they both encountered her as they knew she wouldn't let them go this easily without a fight. Without turnung back, Rayman decides to fight her yet again with her battle being similar from the last time except she generates a spill of a potion instead of a pot. Once Rayman defeats her, she dissolves into a spill of liquid, killing her.

Trivia

Despite appearing as an unassuming miniboss, Begoniax has one of the darkest backstories in Rayman. A slave to her perverse desires, Begoniax has turned all who rejected her sexual advances into toads, after which she apparently bred with them, as in the present day, she has more tadpoles than she knows what to do with.
