Background
Not much is known about El Luchador’s early life except that at some point in his life, he started his career as a wrestler where he has won championship belts at the Professional League of Wrestling, all of which having been confiscated at one point, possibly due to his frequent usage of illegal wrestling moves.
Season 1
El Luchador first appears in the Hamster & Gretelepisode "Recipe for Disaster". He shows up in Casa Ropa Vieja to demand the last order of ropa vieja after Hamster and Gretel found the perfect version that could compete with her mother's recipe. After his overly long, metafictional introduction and disclaimer, Gretel objects his demand, and claims that she gets the ropa vieja for her family dinner, but El Luchador does not budge as the two sides engage in a wrestling duel. During the match, Kevin calls up Gretel to stop, as he realizes the he and Gretel should've made their own ropa vieja, since that's what makes their family dinner night special. As such, Hamster and Gretel abandon their fight against El Luchador, who has been thoroughly beaten during the call.
In "The Litigator vs. The Luchador" opens with El Luchador in prison, escaping it after lying to a guard that he cannot whistle, and promptly beating him up using his Acute Angle Tangle and taking his clothes. He has left a variety of clues that indicates here he's going; these being several flyers for the Professional League of Wrestling Tag Team Championship match that will occur later that day, and a map of the city, with many arrows drawn on it that point towards the location of the arena where said wrestling match will be held. Despite these clues, no one at Action News, let alone reporter Veronica Hill, knows where El Luchador could be. Hamster, Gretel and Kevin, however, correctly deduce that El Luchador wants to intervene the PLOW championship match and take the belt for himself, desiring to win all of his belts back. At some point, he has intercepted and injured one of the wrestlers who would be fighting in the match, The Skobeloff Sorcerer, who is seen being carried away by a gurney when Hamster, Gretel and Kevin arrive. Through him, they learn that El Luchador has taken his signature, skobeloff-colored masked, and is currently posing as him, although they do not learn the name of the injured wrestler until they see on TV that El Luchador, as the Skobeloff Sorcerer, is injuring the Sorcerer's tag team partner (a fish-themed wrestler), as he claims he needs no partners and will win both belts by himself, one for each of his arms. He then gets challenged by The Litigator, who, to the surprise of Hamster, Gretel and Kevin, is actually their aunt Melissa. The two quickly arrive at the ring, with the disguised Gretel entering herself in to be Melissa's tag team partner as The Bearded Stranger. As the fight of The Litigator against El Luchador continues, he performs the Acute Angle Tangle against her, to which he then removes the stolen skobeloff mask and reveals his true identity. After Melissa has been recovered thanks to her sister Carolina, she tags in again and uses a folding chair to smack El Luchador. Melissa and Gretel keep tagging in and out, with Gretel taking full advantage of being able to use furniture, and defeat El Luchador, ending in a pile-driver.
Season 2
In “I Love Luchie”, Kevin and Gretel discover that El Luchador and fashion designer Connie have moved in next door to them, much to their horror. However, Dave and Carolina, desperate to win their frienship, organize a dinner party with them. After learning about everything El Luchador dislikes, Kevin, Hamster, and Gretel rig their new neighbors' house with glitter, stinky cheese, green and yellow balloons, and inflatable tube men with the hope of driving them out, only for Carolina to discover what they did and force them to apologize. When the heroes and Kevin arrive, they discover that Connie has placed El Luchador in a wrestling suit that can control his every move, which she will use to exact revenge on a fashion institute from which she was expelled. Hamster and Gretel race to stop the suit from forcing El Luchador to destroy a fashion show, but they are challenged with the suit being too strong for them and Connie's loom, which controls the suit. The heroes call Kevin, who is stuck in traffic, and they remember that Connie was also expelled for her poor stiching work, prompting them to unravel the suit and destroy the loom, leading to Connie's defeat and arrest.
Luchador makes a cameo in “Lorraine, Shake, Rattle”, where he battles Tobor over a birthday cake at a store.
Luchador makes a cameo in “Miss Direct”, during the song “Going Bad With Good Intentions“ as one of the various villains Hiromi has on her vision board.
