Personality

Ginbak is a very temperamental, emotional ruler. Upon encountering his son Gori's corpse, he bursts into tears and cradles his son's body. But then, he stomps on his son's body, deriding Gori for his death and calling him useless trash. He quickly calms down and calls his son adorable. This demonstrates Ginbak's excitable and unpredictable demeanor.

Like the rest of his kind, Ginbak is quick to violence. When his son, Berser, began to talk down to Jachi, Ginbak hit him over the head in irritation for speaking while Ginbak was conversing with the demon. Unlike his son, Berser, who speaks more eloquently, Ginbak's dialect is crude and short. He dislikes those who speak in a more refined manner, as he comedically hit Berser over the head for his verbose explanation for wanting to stay by Ginbak's side.

Due to his strength as the Chief of Titans, Ginbak does not take his opponents seriously. Despite being shocked and briefly mourning his son's death, Jachi noted that Ginbak didn't act the slightest bit threatened. When Jachi activated his aura from a distance and prepared his attack, Ginbak merely remarked that Jachi was shining and found it neat, unnerving Berser with this attitude.

Ginbak appears rather abusive toward his sons. He stomped on Gori's remains out of anger for his death against Jachi, and struck Berser for speaking out of turn. Despite the violence he displays toward his sons and fellow Titans, he does appear to care about them. He urged the titans accompanying him to leave the battle, noting if they get caught up in the battle, they could potentially lose their lives.

Even so, in combat, Ginbak is more aware of the abilities his opponents use and while incapable of describing them properly, understands that certain attacks could harm his sons and subordinates, which he warned them about. His immense power has him prioritize physical strength as a great power compared to those who don't use it, noting that such individuals aren't any fun. His mood, while rather outgoing, can also quickly turn into something merciless as he kills Diganazal simply because he found her annoying, even though he would compliment her later on. Ginbak is also rather careless, as after killing Diganazal, he comments on where they were, not realizing he killed the one person who could answer it while also being greatly ignorant of other concepts like demons and magic, due to a lack of interest in others.

Plot

Titans vs The Neo-Humans Arc

Samone informs the other human survivors about Ginbak, explaining that he is the chief of the titans and holds command over them. She also highlights that Ginbak is regarded as the strongest titan among their ranks.[3]

Demon Lord Arc

Pakkya warns Hallow, Bastz and Nukizumi to be careful when they're approaching Spiral Mountain as it is currently claimed by the sixth of Ginbak's sons; Gori.[1]

As the battle between Jachi and Uki reaches its conclusion, Uki transforms into its Space Plate Brawns mode in order to combat Jachi. However, Ginbak appears from behind the weakened Madalan and kills it with a single punch. Ginbak notes that with its level of strength, Uki couldn't have been the one to kill Gori. Ginbak asks Jachi if he was the one who murdered his son. The demon notes Ginbak's intimidating aura, internally recognizing him as an enemy.[4]

Jachi asks for Ginbak's name, and he obliges. Berser steps forward, telling the demon to grovel, declaring that Ginbak is the chief of the titan warriors and that Jachi isn't even worthy to look him in the eyes. However, Ginbak silences his son by punching him into the ground, telling him to stay quiet while he speaks with the demon.

Jachi questions what there is to discuss, telling Ginbak that he was the one who executed Gori, leaving nothing more to say. Ginbak watches Jachi silently for a moment before unexpectedly bursting into tears. He lifts his deceased son, mourning his loss. Suddenly, Ginbak's grief turns to fury as he slams Gori's body to the ground, angrily berating him for daring to die in such a state. He kicks the body, refusing to accept his son's death. Yet, after a moment, Ginbak calms down, remarking that this is what makes Gori so adorable.

Ginbak's demeanor shifts again as he looks at Jachi, confirming that he was responsible for Gori's death. Jachi introduces himself, offering Ginbak a chance for revenge through battle. Ginbak accepts and immediately delivers a powerful punch, sending Jachi flying. He then halts himself mid-air, surprising Ginbak. The Demon Lord quickly retaliates, landing a punch on Ginbak's face, but the blow does little more than destroy the environment with its shockwave. Ginbak laughs and responds with an even stronger punch, launching Jachi far into the distance like a shooting star.[5]

Ginbak's followers cheer for him, but Ginbak warns them that Jachi is still alive, surprising the titans. Ginbak asks for the name of his fallen son. When told, he lies, claiming he already knew but wanted to test their memory. He excuses Gori's death as the result of an unlucky encounter. Ginbak then warns his followers that Jachi is returning, instructing them to leave if they wish to avoid serious injury.

Berser protests, reminding Ginbak that no titan who possessed the blood of the chief has ever retreated from battle. As he speaks of their tribe's ironclad rule, Ginbak interrupts him with a sudden strike to the head, demanding he get to the point. Ginbak grumbles that Berser always speaks in riddles, but allows them to stay. Suddenly, the titan followers struggle to breathe. Ginbak explains that the suffocating force is Jachi's "menace".[6]

As Ginbak waits for Jachi, Nyudo intervenes, activating a Grand Teleportation Magic Circle, confusing Ginbak, who is unfamiliar with magic. As Jachi accelerates toward Ginbak, the titan marvels at the demon's glow, calling it neat.[7] Before Jachi can strike, the titans are teleported to Diganazal's castle, crashing through the roof. Ginbak casually wonders what just happened.[8]

The titans, noticing Diganazal's scent, comment that she looks tasty. Ginbak requests a piece if she is indeed tasty.[9] Diganazal's fascination with the titans' physiques prevents her from answering Berser. Ginbak asks if she understands him, to which Berser responds that she likely does but is simply odd. Berser suspects she doesn't know how to use the magic that brought them there. When Ginbak asks what magic is, Berser explains it as a skill used by otherworlders. Ginbak, puzzled, asks what an otherworlder is, prompting Berser to remark that Ginbak may be the one lacking understanding. Then Diganazal's servants reveal themselves and Berser wonders if they are demons. Ginbak asks what a demon is, but the question goes unanswered.

Diganazal rambles about improving her servants' lives and building the ultimate army for the Great Demon King. She offers to enhance the titans' bodies as well, inviting them to become her "friends". Ginbak, disinterested, picks his nose and asks if she is begging for her life. Berser lectures Diganazal on the essence of strength, attributing the philosophy to Ginbak, though Ginbak denies ever saying such a thing.

Realizing that they refused, Diganazal orders her chimera creations to attack. Ginbak effortlessly destroys them with a single hand swing. Bored, he demands that Diganazal fight him directly. Suddenly, Ginbak is surprised by several shallow slashes. Diganazal introduces Fecaccio, her chimera hero. Fecaccio attacks with Agitato Drive, but Ginbak smashes him through the floor, causing the titans to fall to a lower level.

There, they see creatures trapped in the walls. Ginbak assumes this is how they preserve food, but Berser thinks they are likely the end results of Diganazal's so-called "friends". Determined to claim the titans' bodies, Diganazal builds a massive Chimera Suit in her Burst form, and engages Ginbak in battle. She paralyzes him, ensnaring the titans in spider webs before unleashing a relentless flurry of attacks on Ginbak. She drops necromancer's pet maggots into Ginbak's nostrils, claiming they will consume him from the inside. Ginbak begins snoring, and Diganazal realizes he has fallen asleep. He awakens, refreshed, claiming her attacks provided a soothing massage.

Ginbak sneezes out the maggots. He then grabs her to prevent her escape and begins crushing her. Ginbak compresses her into a ball until she surrenders, offering to serve him. Ginbak tells her he's bored listening to her beg for her life. Enraged, Diganazal self-destructs, managing to kill only herself.

Ginbak, pleased by the silence, tosses her remains to one of his subordinates, accidentally crushing him under the weight. Horrified, Ginbak tearfully asks if his precious subordinate is alright, and then praising Diganazal for claiming another life even in death. He casually throws his follower's body aside and asks Berser where they are. Berser tells his father that the only being who could have told them is now dead.[10]

Abilities

As the tribal chief of the Titans, Ginbak wields tremendous power. His authority is enough for all his 100 sons to submit to him without question. He was capable of eliminating the Madalan Uki in its Space Plate Brawns mode, though Uki had already been critically injured by Jachi at that point. Ginbak's presence alone was enough for Jachi to acknowledge him as an enemy. Ginbak could endure one of Jachi's punches with no damage and later sent Jachi flying off into the distance with a single punch, lightly injuring the demon. Ginbak's strength was enough for Jachi to transform into his released state in order to combat the titan. Ginbak could easily overpower and kill Diganazal, enduring her most powerful attacks and likening them to a massage.

Physical Abilities

  • Superhuman Strength: As the chief of the Titans, Ginbak possesses enormous physical strength. He destroyed Uki in his Space Plate: Brawns mode with one hit, albeit after he was heavily damaged. With one casual punch, Ginbak could send Jachi flying into the sky. When he decided to put a little more effort, Ginbak's punch blew Jachi away at enough speed that Jachi's flight magic couldn't stop his trajectory, sending him crashing through dozens of buildings which ripped through an entire city. He also held enough strength to overpower a massive chimera suit that captured his subordinates and reduce it into a compressed ball that one of the titans underlings accompanying Ginbak couldn't hold properly from its immense weight .
  • Superhuman Durability: Ginbak possesses remarkable durability. Whereas one of Jachi's punches with his armor removed was enough to critically injure Uki and crack the Madalan's face, Ginbak was completely unfazed by the demon king's strike. When facing Diganazal, who controlled a chimera suit that easily captured his subordinates, he considered the attacks little more but a massage where even the powerful self-destruct magic she used did little in harming his palms. Even the former hero, Fecaccio, who had been turned into a powerful chimera who could utilize lightning attacks, couldn't harm the giant whatsoever.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: Despite his size, Ginbak has extremely heightened reflexes. When fighting Fecaccio, who could move at supersonic speeds, Ginbak casually swatted him before he could land his next attack.
