Kiara is a student at Wellston Private High School and one of it's many, many bullies. She is one of the schools fake Jokers.
Appearance
Kiara is a student with dark teal hair. When using her ability, her eyes glow orange. As Joker, she wears a black ski mask over her head on top of her uniform. She wore the male uniform since the original Joker also did so.
John noted that he "expected her to be a dude" under the mask.
Personality
Like many other mid-tiers at Wellston, Kiara enjoys beating weaker students. When posing as Joker, she threatens John that she is Joker and attacks him, not knowing he is the real Joker.
Plot
Fallout
Kiara approaches Evie and Seraphina as Joker.[1] She attacks them and knocks Evie down off-panel.
John arrives on the scene, witnessing this spar. Thanks to her hand-to-hand combat training, Seraphina was able to block a majority of Kiara's attacks, but Kiara still managed to overpower her and provided little to no time for Seraphina to retaliate. As she blocked Kiara's attacks, Seraphina tried to think of how John would react to the current predicament, but her mind kept going back to how John had lied to her.
Before the Joker could strike Seraphina once more, John decided to intervene and battle the false Joker alongside his best friend. Each time he looked at the Joker, John was reminded of himself, and while he was distracted, the Joker attempted to attack him. Seraphina still had his back, however, and both John and Seraphina manage to defeat the false Joker.[2]
Despite John's jovial attitude in defeating the Joker, Seraphina knew that the Joker she fought was an impostor. The identity of this masked Joker is revealed, and Seraphina knew that if she was passing off as a faker Joker, other students would do the same.
As John was further trying to dissociate himself from Joker, the tense situation gets averted when Evie recognized the maskless Kiara and praised John and Seraphina for taking out a powerful student without the aid of abilities. However, Evie was not unscathed, and Kiara's attack left the low-tier with a sprained ankle. As Seraphina helped support the injured Evie, John attempted to help her, but Seraphina refused his help, telling John that he had done enough. Once Seraphina and Evie left the hallway, John angrily beat up Kiara's unconscious body, calling her "f*cking trash."[3]
Powers & Abilities
Barrage: Kiara's ability, Barrage, allows her to unleash a fast flurry of punches. This is a mid-tier ability which is notable for being hard to block.
