AresWP (アレス, Aresu?) is a Divine Spirit in Greek mythologyWP.
Profile
Background
Ares is the God of War in Greek Mythology. In Roman Mythology, he is known as MarsWP. Before his appearances in Greek myth, he was one of the Twelve Machine Gods who ruled Atlantis over 14,000 years before modern day. However when Sefar invaded in 12,000BC, they were unable to defeat the White Titan which resulted in the destruction of their true Aletheia bodies, with Ares personal sword being taken as a spoil of war.[1][2] Following the destruction of Sefar, his remnants along with those of his fellow machine gods eventually drifted to Greece, becoming the Greek pantheon. Like many gods, he would go on to father many god and demigod children such as Romulus, Remus, Hippolyta, and Penthesilea.
Lostbelt
Within the Atlantic Lostbelt, history diverged in 12,000BC, the Gods not suffering defeat at the hands of Sefar. Later on, Ares was one of the Gods who opposed Zeus, resulting in his destruction.
Personality
As the Greek God of War, Ares embodies the brutal and violent aspects of war. As such he struck fear in the hearts of humans and they shunned him in return, with only the Spartans revering him. Despite this, humans understood his role as a god and gave him light regardless. It was this love that humanity felt to him that he came to know love in return, and is one of the reasons he answered the chain summon in the Atlantic Lostbelt.
Due to her actions as the White Titan 14,000 years ago, Mars loathes Altera more than anyone else. When Altera activates Teardrop Photon Ray, upon recognizing the connection, he immediately unleashes Photon Ray, his light of Authority, towards her.

Fate/Grand Order
Lostbelt 5: Olympus

Ares is summoned using Golden Huge Bear as a catalyst to aid Chaldea in the battle against Lostbelt Zeus. Ares claimed that he was guided by the bond Ritsuka Fujimaru have made with all the Roman servants along the way. When both Ares and Caligula were together, they were then able to chain summon Romulus-Quirinus. After defeating Zeus, when Chaos appeared, Ares was instantly disintegrated while defending Chaldea from its attack.
Abilities
Being one of the Twelve Machine Gods, Ares was one of the original pillars of nature of the Atlantis civilization. As the embodiment of War, he was the final god to fight Sefar in 12,000 BC.[2] Although he is said to be the greatest enemy she had ever fought,[2] not even him with his great sword, was able to touch Sefar.[1] This resulted on his original body, his Aletheia form, being destroyed, and him being degraded into a Divine Spirit. By the point Heracles was completing his Ninth Labor, his strength was great enough to make him a befitting match for Ares.[3] In the Roman Pantheon, he is one of the three Chief Gods, alongside Romulus-Quirinus and Jupiter.
Ares kept the Stymphalian Birds, monstrous birds cherished by him as familiars, but they were driven from the peninsula by Heracles during the Labor.[4]The Birds were once airships that accompanied him.
In the Greek Lostbelt, he is summoned in his Aletheia form alongside Grand Lancer Romulus-Quirinus to battle Zeus.
Skills
- Roar of the War God
- Crimson Strike
- Sword of the War God
Noble Phantasm
Ares initially possessed a great sword, known as the "Sword of Mars", Photon Ray. Its concept comes from ancient times, back to the first primitive cutting tools. When Sefar defeated him, she took it as a trophy.[2] Romulus states that Altera's Teardrop Photon Ray, is Ares' true sword. A giant sword of light that the God of War, Mars, who is virtually manifested in satellite orbit, wields. The conceptualization of war itself. Since it had been a while since Romulus last saw it, he was unsure of whether or not its power output is compounded. He also claimed that she seems to wield the sword more skillfully than Ares.[5]
In the Atlantic Lostbelt, he wields a giant crimson red "futuristic" sword, although its design is different than that of Altera's Photon Ray. This sword is almost as long, if not longer than he is tall.
