Jean Rum (ジーン・ラム, Jīn Ramu?), also known as Gale Wheel (疾風車輪, Hayate Sharin?), is the Master of Caster of Red of the Red Faction in the Great Holy Grail War of Fate/Apocrypha.[2] Along with Cabik Pentel, Deimlet Pentel, Feend vor Sembren, and Rottweil Berzinsky, she is entranced by Assassin of Red and Shirou Kotomine before even meeting her Servant, later coerced into giving up her Command Spells.

Background
Jean comes from a family that used a unique magecraft with wheels. Her little brother, Org, was once considered one of the best candidates to inherit the Magic Crest, though she had the favor of the family head. After many intersecting plans unfolded, her brother's favorable lead was overturned, and she was chosen as the Magic Crest's heir. And, just as the family head predicted, Jean was able to draw the full potential of Magic Circuits on the Crest engraved in her with her forceful yet delicate steering.[3]
She later became known by the moniker of Gale Wheel (疾風車輪, Hayate Sharin?), and regarded as the greatest in the history of the clan of wheel-using mages. After earning this reputation, she declared she'd search for Ivan the Terrible's library and went freelance.[3] Making her living as a freelance magus, she became known throughout the world, and at some point in her life, she worked with Kairi Sisigou.[4]

Personality
Jean is a bibliomaniacWP, and there is a rumor that she searched for Ivan the Terrible's library.[1][3] She intended to summon a character of Shakespeare, Macbeth being a favorite, but got the author instead.[5]
She apparently has a sense of rectitude, showing aversion to how Rottweil Berzinsky had killed both his client and his confrères in a subspecies Holy Grail War.[2]
For being able to leave everything to look for a lost library and become a freelance magus, her brother describes her as someone with a free spirit he would not be able to ever match.[3]
Role
Fate/Apocrypha
Although she is skilled, Jean was easily entranced by Semiramis's poison upon her arrival to Sighisoara.[1] Along with the four other captured Masters, she is fooled to believe that Shirou Kotomine, pretending to be an "intermediary" acting on their behalf, is guiding the war in their stead. Their Servants are summoned in Shirou's presence and lead to believe that their Masters simply wish to remain hidden, while the Masters sit in a set-up reminiscent of a throne room behind a thin curtain. They spend their time sharing stories in peace,[6] only dealing with the status of the war when Shirou reports to them. Kneeling reverently, he feeds them false details of victory over five of the Black Faction Servants while attempting to convince them to relinquish control to him. While they consider it, they felt it is too dangerous to give up control at the moment. As their common sense has mostly collapsed by that point, they eventually concede to the idea after another attempt.
They remained inside the Hanging Gardens of Babylon for the duration of the war, but is later rescued by Fiore Forvedge Yggdmillennia at the behest of Lancer of Red. All of their positions have become precarious after being released due to everything about the war being considered a major failure.[1]
Other appearances
Jean's little brother, Org Rum (オルグ・ラム, Orugu Ramu?), makes an appearance in Fate/strange Fake, where he was mentioned to be a former student of Lord El-Melloi II.[1][7] He has reached the rank of "Pride".[7][3] Presumably, in a repeat of Fate/Apocrypha, Jean may have been one of the magi assembled for an auction of historical artifacts with mystical value who were betrayed and manipulated by one of their allies, ended up rescued by a Lord of the Clock Tower, and, ashamed of their own blunder, enrolled trustworthy members of their family in the Lord's classes.[8]
Abilities
Jean is a first-rate magus, utilizing wind-element magecraft and chakrams as implied by the title "Gale Wheel."[1] Kairi Sisigou ranks her ability highly along with the other three Masters with whom he had previously worked, describing them as "monsters specialized in combat who remove the opposition without mercy."[4] Darnic Prestone Yggdmillennia also thinks highly of her reputation, feeling that only he and Fiore Forvedge Yggdmillennia stand any chance of facing her in direct battle out of all the Black Faction Masters.

One of the people whose should have been a Master of the Red Camp. Female. Known as the Gale Wheel, she uses chakrams and possesses Wind-affinity magecraft just as her title implies. You really are exactly what you seem like, aren’t you? She’s a bibliomaniac, and according to rumor she searched for the library of Ivan the Thunder Emperor.
Her skill is definitely first-rate, but regretfully, she was easily subdued by Semiramis’ poison. The relatives of the Red Masters, excluding Shishigou and Shirou, make a stealthy appearance in “Fate/strange Fake” (Author: Ryohgo Narita, from Dengeki Bunko).
