Description

Mutation is a modifier that increases the shield health of enemies every wave after it is first introduced while the modifier was active, regardless if it spawned naturally or was spawned by a different enemy. The amount of shield health increased depends on the map. It also increases all currency rewards by 20%.

Mutation appears exclusively in Polluted Wasteland II, Badlands II, Pizza Party, Cold Ambush, The Haunted Past, The Great Finale, Krampus Frosthold (on stages 2 and 3), Huevous Hunt (on Hard difficulty), Pls Donate (on Hard difficulty), Korblox Temple (on Impossible difficulty) and Bathroom_ Approach (on Hard difficulty); it is active in all matches on these maps.

Effects

Mutation will increase the shield health by a percentage of their max health without the shield health, if the enemy has it, every wave after it is first introduced while the modifier was active. This happens regardless if it spawned naturally or from an enemy. If an enemy spawned before the modifier was active, its health will not increase until its first wave appearance while it is active. This increase is dependant on the map.

If activated through Sandbox, it will be set to 5%.

For example, if an enemy in Polluted Wasteland II has 40 normal health and 20 shield health, it will only have its shield health increase by 2 each wave, as it is 5% of its normal health, instead of it increasing by 3 each wave, which is 5% of its total health with shield health. The shield health is increased every wave after the enemy was spawned naturally or by a different enemy.

If the amount of shield health increased is a decimal, it is rounded up or rounded down, depending on the decimal value. If the decimal value is 0.5 or higher, it is rounded up. If the decimal value is lower than 0.5, it is rounded down. However, only the enemy's health when it spawns is rounded up or down. The actual health value is still a decimal, meaning that the amount of shield health gained each wave may be lower or it will not increase at all. For example, an enemy with 6 in Pizza Party that spawns on Wave 1 will increase its shield health by 0.6 each wave. On Wave 2, it will have 6.6 total health, which rounds up to 7, on Wave 3, it will have 7.2 total health, which rounds down to 7, while on Wave 4 it will have 7.8 total health, which rounds up to 8.

The shield health gained from this modifier can affect enemy abilities. For example, if an enemy changes its statistics upon losing all of its shield health, like the Rusher, shield health gained from Mutation modifier also needs to be decreased and not just the base shield health.
