Shinro is the Chiyu Star in Suikoden V.
Profile
Background
Shinro is Sairoh's grandson. When his parents died, his grandfather raised him and because of his grandfather's influence, he dream to become a great merchant like his grandfather. He lives and own a small shop in Raftfleet.
Appearance
Shinro has brown hair, which he wears like a bun, holding it with a big hairpin. His clothes consist of the typical Raftfleet ricehat for sun protection, a green mantle, blue/white striped shorts and a pink belt made of cloth. He also wears the same black cloth protectors on his underarms and feet like many Raftfleet inhabitants.
Shinro is also well-trained, muscular and carries a giant abacus with him.
Personality
Like his grandfather Sairoh, Shinro lives and breathes the world of commerce. He has a cheerful personality and knows how to make his costumers feel comfortable.
For him, his grandfather is his personal hero and he tries his best to surpass him businesswise.
Story
Game
During the Sun Rune War, after the battle at Raftfleet and the crushing victory of the Loyalist Army and Raftfleet alliance against Godwin Army, he decided to join the Loyalist Army. He quickly said that he can't fight but he can provide the things the Loyalist Army needs to fight better against the Godwins, he then opened a shop at the Ceras Lake Castle. After the war, he builds a trade route to Armes under Boz's trade expansion policy, and watches his business take off.
Role in the Game
Shinro opens an item shop in the Ceras Lake Castle.
Shinro adds the Trade In ability that allows you to sell items in your inventory.
Shinro adds the Extra ability to a military unit which allows the unit to use their first special ability one additional time.
- Shinro´s an energetic young man. He used to have an item shop in Raftfleet. His dream is to one day become a great merchant like his grandfather Sairoh.
- You know, I thought he carried that huge abacus around just to impress his customers. I was wrong -- he really does use it to figure change. How strong IS he?
- Both his parents died when he was little. His grandfather Sairoh´s been his only family ever since. Come to think of it, it was right after Shinro´s parents -- Sairoh´s son and his wife -- died that SAIROH retired.
