Nakula is a spearman from New Armes Kingdom. His father was the head of the Darja Clan in the New Armes Kingdom. His father was killed by Sagiri when she was a little girl. Due to this, Nakula wanted to find her and avenge his father's death.

During the Sun Rune War, he fought well against Sable Troops, but got injured and General Dinn ordered to treat him, even though he was from New Armes Kingdom. He was treated at the inn in Sable.
After he recovered, he met Freyjadour Falenas and when Nakula wanted informations about the Nether Gate, Lyon asked Oboro and then Oboro, Shigure and Sagiri went to see Nakula. When Nakula saw Sagiri, he recognized her immediately and tried to attack her but Shigure stopped him and told him that the Nether Gate brainwashed and taught Sagiri to smile all the time. After learning about Sagiri's condition, he joined the Loyalist Army because he thinked that Freyjadour's battle was more important and he would deal with the Nether Gate later.
As a member of the Loyalist Army, he stayed at the Ceras Lake Castle and aided Freyjadour on his battle against the Godwins, beside it, he learned that Shigure was telling the truth, he saw Sagiri doesn't show any facial expression other than smile. After the war, he departed for Nagarea on a continuing hunt for Nether Gate survivors and he promised to Sagiri that, he will get her last.
After solving the bandit mystery at Sable, talk to the Armes soldier upstairs in the Inn. He won't react at first, since he is recovering, but after a short time, you can talk to him. Try to calm him down. After finishing talking to him, go to the Oboro Detective Agency in the HQ. With Oboro, Shigure, and Sagiri in the party, return and talk to Nakula, who will join you afterwards. Nakula will leave the inn at some point, so recruit him as soon as possible.
Nakula is, in comparasion to Zegai, more of a defensive mid-range fighter, since his attack stat doesn't reach Zegai's level, but he makes up for it with higher defense stats and the possibility to equip heavy armor.
Another feature that might make Nakula better than Zegai is the ability to use all 3 rune slots, which not only allows him to reach Zegai's damage levels but also makes using Nakula as a useful tank a possible option. He also uses Pierce as a skill instead of Combat Teacher, giving him another edge in fights.
Overall, Nakula is a nice option for the mid range, only truly lacking in magic, something he doesn't need anyway. His performance is solid, but keep in mind that he will miss some of his attacks due to his Fury Rune.
Nakula can lead a four-star cavalry unit with one use of Charge or a ram ship at sea. As a second-in-command he gives his unit a +5 DEF boost.
Nakula used to be a lancer of the Armes Southern Mountain Corps, under General Jidan Guisu. But after getting injured, he stayed behind in Sable... And you know about the rest, Your Highness.
His family had a lot of prestige in the Darja Clan, one of the five major clans of Armes. But his father, the head of the family, advocated drastic measures against Falena, and got killed by Nether Gate.
Nakula has a twin brother back in his home country, but they haven't seen each other for a long time. It seems his brother thinks the life he's leading now is more important than avenging his father.
