Levi is an old man who has a reputation as a powerful wizard or sorcerer but he prefers to be called a "Rune Magic Scholar". He has an apprentice named Bergen.

During the Sun Rune War, Levi and Bergen were doing their research in the Big Hole near Rainwall. Freyjadour Falenas came and Levi was intrigued by Freyjadour's Dawn Rune, and ordered him to hand over the rune, but Freyjadour couldn't give it to Levi, so he left them. After some time, they met again at the same place and Levi perceived the strong magical signal of the Twilight Rune and the Star Rune. After Levi sensed it, he ordered Bergen to stop digging and immediately joined Freyjadour's Loyalist Army.
As a member, Levi stayed at the Ceras Lake Castle and became the rune magic teacher for the army. Freyjadour also brought Levi to Raftfleet to help Norma and Ernst aside from it he aided Freyjadour on his battle against the Godwins. After the war, in order to break Ernst's curse, he started from the beginning, traveling with Ernst and Norma across the western sea.
Levi can lead a four-star archery unit that can use the Rage ability once. Also, he can lead a four-star archery ship with one use of Rage.
Levi calls himself a "Rune magic scholar," and doesn't like to be called a "sorcerer" or a "wizard." Me being a layperson, I don't see the difference...
One time, I saw him talking to that serpentine staff of his. Is that normally part of his "research"?
He seems incredible interested in Zerase and Jeane. Not "that" kind of interest, mind you -- It's all about his research. So he says.
The Star Rune
It's related to the Night Rune, but, like the Dawn Rune, there's only one in the world. I wonder why she has it.
