John Michael Burns (credited as either John Burns or John M Burns) is a comic book colourist whose career spans back to the 1960s. Burns provided colouring throughout the run of Sonic the Comic, and his style of using vivid colours was instantly recognisable. Burns is the nephew of (and shares a name with) prolific British comics illustrator John M. Burns, for whom he is often confused.
