In Good Hands is a complete story appearing in Issue 41 of Sonic the Comic. The strip stars Amy Rose and is her first solo appearance.

Story
Freedom Fighters Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, Johnny Lightfoot, Porker Lewis and Amy Rose were visiting the Green Hill Zone when they were alerted of heavy Badnik activity in the Chemical Plant Zone. Before Sonic can rush off to handle the danger, a voice asks if he is forgetting something. A confused Sonic realises the voice is Amy's and she means her. Despiting the list of times she hasn't been a liability, Amy is left behind in the Green Hill Zone. A frustrated Amy moans about her conflicted feelings for Sonic, but is pulled out with her stupor when she is attacked by six Buzz Bombers.
Amy contemplates the poor timing of this attack when she susses that the Chemical Plant attack was a lie, diverting the resistance away from Green Hill. Refusing to leave the residents, Amy grabs her crossbow and uses her three bolts to destroy three Badniks. Unfortunately, there are still three Badniks left and Amy is forced to flee. As she jumps off a cliff, she is fortunate to find a platform just below ground to land on. The Buzz Bombers aren't so lucky, their speed causing them to crash into the other side of the ravine.
As Amy climbs back up, Sonic and the others return, with Sonic confirming a false alarm. Tails reveals that Sonic even suspected that it was all a trick. Sonic asks if anything interesting has happened, but a wry Amy states it was nothing she couldn't handle.
Trivia
- Along with the self-titled Megadroid story, this is the first strip to be a "bonus" strip, effectively being Issue 41's sixth strip.
- Amy is seen wearing something other than her Sonic the Hedgehog CD outfit for the first time.
- Sonic the Poster Mag 6-exclusive story "Marble Garden Menace" is referenced.
- A Star Post can be seen in the Green Hill Zone, despite the only ones said to exist being the Freedom Fighters' and Doctor Robotnik's.
- The Buzz Bombers have the colour scheme of Buzzer Badniks.
- Amy's defeat of the Badniks is similar to her next story, where she tricks the Snownik into sliding off a cliff.
