The Yukimaru[1] (ユキマル[2]?) is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced, snowman-based Badnik created by Dr. Eggman.
Appearance

Being Badniks based on snowmen, the Yukimarus are made up of a spherical white torso and head, with two blank yellow eyes as well. They also have a red ring around their bellies, white feet with no legs between them, and a short gray barrel on top of their heads.
Game appearances
Sonic Advance

The Yukimarus first appeared in Sonic Advance, where they are only encountered in Ice Mountain Zone.
In gameplay, the Yukimarus move back and forth along the ground or up and down along walls, occasionally firing snowballs into the air. To destroy a Yukimaru, the player must hit the Badnik immediately after it fires the snowballs to avoid getting hit. Like with most Badniks in the game, the Yukimarus will release an Animal upon their destruction.
Other game appearances
Sonic Pinball Party
In Sonic Pinball Party, the Yukimarus appear as obstacles. They can be found on certain pinball tables.
Powers and abilities
The Yukimarus are both capable of wallcrawling and can shoot snowballs from their heads to harm their foes.

IDW Publishing

In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing, one Yukimaru was amongst the Badniks that were chasing Sonic, Tails, Belle and Kit throughout Eggperial City. Later on, when Metal Sonic took down the ship Sonic and the others stole to escape, the ship crashed back down, creating an explosion that blasted off many Badniks below, including the Yukimaru.[3]
