Reno is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series produced by Paramount Pictures and its spin-offs. It is a city in the US State of Nevada.

Description

Reno is located in Nevada, based off its real-world counterpart, housing many tall buildings and bright lights. It is the city where the National Bowling Stadium is, where the bowling tournament that Wade competed in took place. There are multiple casinos around the area, seen when Wade and Knuckles first enter the city and when they meet Wendy and Wanda Whipple.

  • Reno is based on the real-life city of the same name.
    • Despite this, the city is fully made with CGI, except some minor details.[1]
  • The city is similar to Las Vegas, having multiple casinos around. The commentator of the bowling tournament even calls Reno "Las Vegas for losers", pointing out the similarity between the two cities.
  • In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics, Casino Nights was originally dubbed as Renobotnik.
