E-44 is a character that appears in the anime series Sonic X. It is a mass-produced E-Series robot created by Dr. Eggman.[1]

History
Anime
Chaos Emerald Saga
When Sonic showed up and began ruining his plans to destroy Station Square, Dr. Eggman launched scores of E-44s after Sonic and throughout the city, eventually running Sonic's friends, who were being driven back to the Thorndyke Mansion by Sam Speed to retrieve the X Tornado, off the road and leaving them at the robots' mercy. The E-44s readied their lasers and fired, but the group was saved by the timely arrival of Mr. Stewart, who used a pocket mirror to reflect the lasers back at the E-44s. Back on the road towards the Thorndyke residence, the E-44s quickly caught up and readied another attack, but were ran off the road by Mr. Tanaka in a truck loaded with the X Tornado. With the jet plane now in the fight, Tails deployed a Ring for Sonic to use and he destroyed the last of the E-44s.[1]
