They started at the Western Black Lines Volcano which apparently had collapsed onto itself overnight and transformed into a big gaping hole down to bedrock level.
Both of them found a ravine that follows the netherrack faultline (a.k.a "path of fire") that ended up tearing down the foundation of Red's base, Tombstone.
Red's villager compound was one of the most affected building due to the faultline collapse.
Suddenly, the western-themed town began to blow up and started to sink as netherrack began to corrupt the ground.
Kara managed to rescue an untamed cat and tied it to a building with her lead.
Later, they proceeded to return to the Kazakh Caldera near Immortality and discovered that the netherrack trail continued northwards.
The trail led the two explorers to a bizarre netherrack formation with bedrock blocks on top of it placed in an X formation.
At the epicenter of the X mark, they found a chamber midway down the deep shaft. The chamber housed a large quartz maze with a switch and an iron door on the opposite sides of the room, presumably an ARG puzzle to be completed.
As both of them entered the maze unknowingly, JoshA20 intervened and asked them to "stop" as they have "ruined [the game]".
Kara became a guide for Red to navigate through the maze where they were instructed to place down redstones in order to complete the circuit and unlock the door to the next chamber.
Once completed, the iron door was unlocked and the two explored deeper into the uncharted territory, starting from a clay corridor, down a stone staircase and corridor blocked by several iron bars, and finally reached a library-like labyrinth.
Kara found a trapped chest containing several papers and bones, unknowingly triggered an explosion which unravel a hidden room behind the bookshelves.
Inside the abandoned, dilapidated room was a chest that contained exactly 7 papers, 7 bones and a book titled "Andrews Journey [sic]" by Andrew.
As Kara and Red about to leave the place, the X mark suddenly got flooded with lava and bedrocks began forming some sort of prism shapes, possibly similar to the octangula symbol.
The two returned to Tombstone and watched the eruption continue in the town, noting that the cat tied to the lead perished in the explosion.
In the midst of the town's gradual sinking and destruction, Red made a proposition to sell the "prime real estate" to Kara for 5 diamonds, to which she accepted and re-christened it as her new American colony.
They then travelled to AntVenom's house across the Grand Canyon to escape the eruption, yet mysteriously half of the house was consumed by the ground upon their arrival.
Red, now realized that he has lost his home, asked Kara's permission to rent a room inside her palace and gave her the same 5 diamonds as downpayment.
Kara and Red speculated that the eruptions were following them and they decided to travel to Business Bay in order to test their theory.
Along the way, both of them dropped several map arts retrieved from Tombstone all over the Pacific Ocean.
They were unsuccessful, however, as no eruptions occurred upon their arrival to Business Bay.
While at Business Bay, Kara stole back the two elytras which TommyInnit took from her without paying. Concluding the War of the Elytras declared on Day 97.
Other Events
Prior to the 7 ARG quest, both of Kara's pet foxes, namely Iris the arctic fox and Amber the taiga fox, had somehow escaped the Corvantinople imperial palace.
She managed to secure Iris but could not find Amber, despite searching in every corner of the palace and the surrounding area.
She later requested Josh's aid to help locate Amber, he successfully brought the fox back to Kara's palace shortly afterwards.
