Mt. Silver is a location introduced in Generation II.
Description
Mt. Silver is the base of a large mountain in the northeast region of Johto. It is located west of Victory Road and the Indigo Plateau. It can be accessed via Route 28. The large cave within the mountain and summit of the mountain is referred to as Mt. Silver Cave, a distinction made in Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version, whilst the anime and manga refer to Mt. Silver as being the entirety of the mountain itself. Mt. Silver and its cave becomes accessible only once the player has received all sixteen Gym Badges, after which Professor Oak allows them to go to Mt. Silver and enter it.

In the anime, Ash, Misty, and Brock travelled to Mt. Silver to drop off Larvitar and enter the Johto League Silver Conference, which was at the foot of the mountain. At the mountain, a mother Tyranitar was once attacked by the Pokémon Poacher Brothers, who stole her egg, but Tyranitar was eventually reunited with her child.
