Lush Jungle

Lush Jungle is a forest on Akala Island in the Alola region. It is the location of the Trial of Mallow, the fourth trial to be challenged by the player character.

A Moss Rock exists here, which will allow Eevee to evolve into Leafeon.

Trial

The trial consists of gathering ingredients to make special food that will attract the Totem Pokémon. The player will be given the Forage Bag and have to locate four items: a Mago Berry, a Tiny Mushroom, a Revival Herb, and a Miracle Seed. There are some wild encounters during this trial: first a Parasect (Sun) or Shiinotic (Moon) when the player tries to take the mushroom, then a Fomantis on the Mago Berry tree, and then another Fomantis when trying to find the Revival Herb.

In Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the ingredients have been slightly changed: the player must now find a Mago Berry, some Honey and a Big Root. Some of the Big Roots are actually Sudowoodo in disguise.

The totem battle itself consists of Lurantis calling two allies and using its Power Herb, plus changing the weather to sunlight to make its Solar Blade attack activate in one turn.

After completing the trial, Mallow will give the player the Grassium Z and 10 Nest Balls, and Professor Kukui will give out TM67 (Smart Strike).
