Flavor Gate is a treasure in Pikmin 2, part of the Ancient Ad Series. It is an unbranded lid of orange jam. In versions prior to Pikmin 1+2, the treasure was named Gherkin Gate, and it is the lid of a pickle jar from Pinnacle Foods' Vlasic pickle brand. In the Nintendo GameCube and New Play Control! releases, the lid of the Gherkin Gate has the following text:

Appearance
Pikmin 2
The Flavor Gate appears on the mainland of the Perplexing Pool, near the two Burgeoning Spiderworts. It is located roughly where the UV Lamp was in Pikmin, and it is retrieved in a similar way. The Flavor Gate can be obtained by swarming fifteen or more Yellow Pikmin against the wall, leading them up carefully through the maze, and throwing them up onto the high ledge so they can retrieve it.
