Armored Nut

The Armored Nut (ヒラノミ) is a treasure in Pikmin 2, classified as part of the Xenoflora Series. It is actually just a regular acorn.

Appearance

The Armored Nut is found in the Wistful Wild inside one of the three Creeping Chrysanthemum. The Creeping Chrysanthemum that is nearest to the Hole of Heroes has the Armored Nut, which interestingly coincides with the original location of the dormant Red Onion at The Impact Site in Pikmin. Olimar notices this in his journal for this treasure but it may be simply coincidental.

Trivia

As mentioned in Olimar's Journal, the Armored Nut is found in the place where the S.S. Dolphin crashes and lands in the Impact Site.
The sorrow in this nut could possibly be a philosophical meaning about the sorrow Olimar felt when he crashed and thought he would never return.
