Season

Season Roadmap

Seasons are a feature of Overwatch 2. It is planned that seasonal content will be released every nine weeks.[1] Each season will have a corresponding Battle Pass with a unique theme, and up to 80+ unlockable tiers of cosmetics.[2]

The current season, Season 15, will last from February 18, 2025 to 22 April 2025.

All new heroes will be available to everyone upon release. [11]

    • All new heroes will be unlocked for everyone on their release
    • New players will unlock all Overwatch 2 heroes after unlocking all Overwatch Heroes through their challenges
  • Clash Playtest[11]
    • Clash is available to play in unranked and arcade through 16th to 29th of April
    • During the playtest, only Hanaoka will be available
  • Competitive grouping restrictions are removed

  • Quick Play: Hacked - Limit 2[19]
    • No restriction on what role you can play, but limit of 2 per role.
    • Can switch your roles mid-game.
  • Quick Play: Hacked - Kingmaker[19]
    • Variation of Quick Play: Hacked - Limit 2, with a hero that's alone in their role gains a bonus.
  • Hero Playtest
    • Hazard is available to play through 22th to 25th of November
Season 14 Roadmap

Season 14: Hazard

(December 10, 2024 - February 18, 2025)

It included the following:

  • New Battle Pass
  • 6v6 Playtests[19]
    • A standard 2-2-2 Role Queue team composition.
    • This will be a separate card on the Quick Play menu.
  • Quick Play: Hacked - Min 1, Max 3[19]
    • The format played is 6v6.
    • Players can switch their roles mid-game, with a maximum of 3 per role, but minimum 1 required per role.
  • Hero Mastery

Season 15: Honor and Glory

    • Return to China special event, containing old events and Battle Pass cosmetics from Season 1 through Season 9, as well as Chinese Mythology-inspired skin bundles.[22]

    • Totally Normalwatch
  • Loot Boxes return
  • Competitive rank reset
  • Hero portrait rank borders return in Competitive Play
  • Clash leaves the Competitive map pool
  • New competitive rewards
    • Galactic weapons
    • Competitive rank weapon charms (Platinum and above)
  • New feature: Perks
    • Each hero levels up with damage dealt and will be able to pick between 2 minor perks and 2 major perks

Season 16: Stadium

    • Mythic Weapon Skin (Mercy)
